I wanted to give a word or two about my all time favourite text editor/IDE "NeoVim".
NeoVim or nvim for short is a terminal based text editor, that is known for being fast, and costumizeable over other text editors.
𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗺
there are several reasons. the main one is the keybinds!
just the same as vim it has the philosophy of editing without the need of a mouse.
which makes jumping between files and code instantaneous, adding that their keybinds were designed for comfort and do not lead to injuries while typing for long hours.
many famous programmers use neovim :
𝘓𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘴 𝘛𝘰𝘳𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘥𝘴 : the creator of git and linux
𝘋𝘏𝘏 : the programmer of ruby on rails
𝘈𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘫 𝘒𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘺 : works at Tesla (Ai reasercher), introduced the idea of vibe coding for the first time
𝘎𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘰 𝘷𝘢𝘯 𝘙𝘰𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮 : creator of python
𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲
The main reason people dont use nvim is that it is reaaaaally hard to learn compared to other gui text editors/IDEs
but it is worth it, one month of dedication
