All should be checking themselves for Ticks. In my area, neighbors been reminding each for past 2 months, because it looked like the this year was different. Been pulling out many more ticks than years past and seems, like w/ other stuff, species type shifting areas or new types around. The Tick disease's are pretty fuckin' bad if takes hold so check yourselves, remind others as you would a loved one to drive safe or "seatbelt". They vary in size from obvious to looking like a speck of dirt/debris/mole. Some you'll never know are there, some you WILL feel a bite. So before you rip/scratch at bites, inspect the area. It's hard to not scratch first, but some of these small ass one's have felt like a bee sting. P.S. - If your RL job is biology stuff: Priority 1- Healing/developing the better boob. My dog's vet says Frontline doesn't work for fleas and ticks anymore. It doesn't bother the latest generations of those vermin. Then again, that could just be his way to stick us with a huge bill for the new, cutting edge medicine. I wouldn't put it past him.

There was this island of the coast of Norway where they killed all the animals because they were suffering horribly being infested by hundreds and hundreds of huge ticks. Yeah. I'm never leaving this city again. At least not without a flamethrower.

Ticks used to be hell in the more humid parts of Texas. But then fire ants invaded from Mexico and ate them all. No more ticks, but now you have tiny ants everywhere that both bite and sting and leave blisters. Had ticks so many times It's way beyond funny. Every time I go camping i get **** drunk and decide to go for midnight wanders throughout the bushgrass. Couple of more tips Do NOT remove them by putting vaseline or anything else on them to choke them. This is a old wifes tale and does WAY more damage then good. If the tick is infected with any disease choking them (which is what applying vaseline/cream or anything will actually make them regurgitate their stomach contents into your bloodstream before loosening their bite which increases the chance of catching infection from them. Can google how to remove them with a pair of tweezers (special ones for the purpose is best as regular ones will also make you squeeze their innards into the bitewound by squeezing the main body Once removed stick em in a food bag and then in the freezer, reason being that if you do develop some sort of infection then you can take the bag to the hospital and they can test the actual tick to narrow down what infections it was carrying. At one point I had 10 ticks in my freezer lol

Ha find this funny as I went out shooting yesterday and had to full on dawn the pants tucked into shoes, shirt tucked in collar up, Deet all over. Buggers were all over. I think it might be easier just to frontline myself instead and leave the dog inside. One nice thing about living in the desert cactus stick you not ticks.
