We were in orbit for Kristen Bell even before she became the titular heroine of the girl-detective TV series Veronica Mars . She started out attending New York's Tisch School of the Arts, where Kristen’s early stage work included a stint as a buxom Betty Thatcher in the Broadway musical The Adventures of Tom Sawyer . That makes sense considering she was terrific in Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical which showed off so much of her cleavage.
She also showed off her nymphoid bod with a quick turn as a turned-on teen in the cult comedy Pootie Tang (2001). Her quirky and sexy turn on the HBO series Deadwood gave us some live wood, but she really raised an Angry Red Planet in our shorts in Spartan (2004), where an angry slap from Val Kilmer prompted a kinky slip o’ the nip from Kristen. She raised our heart rate when she showed off more cleavage in Pulse (2006). Since then Kristen has turned in unforgettable performances in Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) and Couples Retreat (2009), both of which required this tight-bodied temptress to don teeny bikinis, and in Burlesque (2010), where she sadly perpetuated the popularity of the nudity-free bump n' grind. Kristen drew on her Burlesque experience for a mind-blowing lingerie dance on Showtime's House of Lies. She continued her lingerie-lovin' underwear scenes in Hit and Run , Stuck in Love and CHiPS . We did see her ass from the side in The Lifeguard (for real this time, not a body double like in Fanboy ), but considering she told Mr. Skin to "dream on" in a 2012 interview, it's not likely she'll be ringing our bells with nudity any time soon.

"This is the first interview I've ever done where I'm not wearing panties. Lucky you," says Kristen Bell. And that is how I met the 33-year-old actress ( House of Lies, Veronica Mars ), who, for the record, was wearing a robe. We were on set at her recent Allure shoot, where she had just stripped down for the annual Nudes feature in our May issue (on newsstands now). As you might guess, she was pretty candid when we chatted.
What's your favorite body part? "I'm a big fan of buns. Buns and cakes. On anybody. Not just my own. I mean, I'm a fan of my own buns. I'm very happy with the amount that I've been given, and I often attempt to sculpt them into something more than what I've been given. But I notice other people's buns quite a bit."
Were you comfortable with your body while you were pregnant? "I was terribly frightened that I would feel like a schlub and not at all beautiful. But I've never been so comfortable with my body. When I looked in the mirror, I saw Cindy Crawford."
Have you ever used a body double? "I have definitely and happily used a body double. It's a very nice thing to be able to rely on."
How did you exercise after your daughter was born? "I started doing Pilates, then I realized it wasn't as torturous as regular cardio, so I've kept it up. I'm more in shape now than I've been at other times in my life."
Why pose nude? "I talk a big game about being comfortable no matter my size. I wanted to put my money where my mouth was."
If there's one person you don't want to see these pictures, who is it? "I'm not concerned with anyone. I hope it's not misinterpreted, but that's too big of a problem for me to actually think about."
