Two British lawyers - who are twin sisters - facing jail in Dubai for drunkenly assaulting a policewoman and 'cursing Arab women' were porn stars who made adult films while studying law in London , MailOnline can reveal.
Alena and Sasha Parker were born in the impoverished Soviet-state of Belarus in 1981 and only gained British citizenship eight years ago.
The identical pair - who were born with the maiden name Velikanava came to the UK after meeting British television director Miles Parker while he was making a film in Russia .
The sisters moved to London to study law and Alena married Parker in January 2001. Sister Sasha later changed her name by deed-poll to Parker.
Alena studied law at the University of London and University of Westminster between 2002 and 2007. They then moved to Dubai.

The women starred in porn films while they lived in London and studied law, MailOnline can reveal

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline from his home in east London, Mr Parker explained: 'Alena took my name when we got married. Sasha changed her name by deed-poll because she wanted to have the same name as Alena. The twins are inseparable.
'They have been British citizens since 2005. Alena studied law in London gained a good degree. She also has a Master's as well as qualification in Islamic banking.
'The twins moved to Dubai in 2007. They share a flat together.'
Mr Parker declined to discuss the twins participation in pornographic films.
But he added: 'They have both come a long way after a very difficult start in life.'
The girls were arrested on August 4 last year for 'rougish behaviour' on a night out, Dubai Misdemeanours Court heard on Monday.
Alena, an associate at Al Safar & Partners where her sister is a case manager, had been found drunk in the Al Bashra district, it was claimed.
They face up to three years in jail in the strict Gulf state if convicted of 'cursing Arab women' and being intoxicated.
The twins, 37, who both work for a Dubai law firm, claim that they were tortured after being arrested by a 'heavy-handed' female police officer and held in a van in the desert overnight
The sisters told MailOnline today that they were innocent before adding that they were 'confident' that justice would be served in the strict Arab state
The sisters today told MailOnline they had only made one court appearance so far and their defence had not been presented to judges.
They added: 'Since we trust the UAE judicial system and (are) sure about our innocence, we are confident that the justice will be served.
'Unfortunately, since the matter is pending before the Dubai Courts we are unable to comment further at this stage.'
But the twins claim they are victims of a heavy-handed policewoman who held them allegedly put a gun to their heads and allegedly held them captive in the desert over-night.
'The girls admit they were drunk but the policewoman attacked Sasha and Alena fought back in self defence,' Mr Parker said.
'They were taken to the desert and had guns pointed to their heads. They were tortured throughout the night in a van in the desert. They were only taken to the police station the following day.
'The whole incident was caused by the policewoman who really should have kept her nose out.
'The girls were leaving a drinks party at a top hotel in Dubai when a security guard made a rude comment to them.
'An argument ensued and then this older Arab woman got involved. She did not say she was a policewoman.
'The policewoman grabbed Sasha and Alena jumped on her to protect her sister. They are inseparable.
'The policewoman called for back-up and the girls were arrested.
The sisters moved to London to study law and Alena married Mr Parker, who lives in east London, in January 2001. Sister Sasha later changed her name by deed-poll to Parker
'The policewoman claims she suffered a broken arm but it was the girls who were tortured and beaten up. They hardly touched her.
'Two police officers hand-cuffed them and put them into the back of a van and drove them into the desert.
'The police officers held them in the desert for 14 hours and put a pistol to their heads. They were kept there overnight in 45 degree heat.
'They were only taken to the police station the next day. And they were beaten up at the police station.'
The Britons' defence team claims CCTV footage of the altercation with the off-duty police woman proved the twin's testimony that they did not start any fight.
But the prosecutor's office have refused to release the film to the lawyers, Mr Parker claims.
He added: 'This is a classic Dubai fit-up job.
'The whole process has been a terrible strain on their health.'
The Foreign Office today confirmed that they were assisting the twins.
A spokesman said: 'We are supporting two British women who were arrested in Dubai in 2017, and are in contact with the UAE authorities.'

Pornhub is lifting the lid on America’s X-rated viewing habits, revealing their website’s most popular searches for 2021.
The most popular search term across the United States was “hentai” — a type of Japanese anime. Pornhub revealed that “hundreds of thousands of hentai videos can be found on our website, including professional productions, homemade animations made by fans and 3D generated scenes.”
On an equally bizarre end of the sexy spectrum, “The Suicide Squad” anti-hero Harley Quinn was the most-searched movie franchise or character, followed by Wonder Woman, Harry Potter, “Star Wars” and Black Widow.
Meanwhile, the most-searched porn star by Americans was Lana Rhoades , 25. The Illinois-born actress quit the industry earlier this year and says she now “regrets” making adult movies.
Rhoades was also the most popular porn star internationally, followed by Abella Danger, Eva Elfie, Riley Reid and Mia Malkova.
The adult site further revealed that Americans were the biggest porn consumers on the planet. Brits made up the second-largest share of Pornhub users, while the Japanese placed in third. The frisky French came in fourth, while Italians rounded out the top 5.
Pornhub released the dirty data in a press release on Wednesday .
“Ebony” remained the most-viewed category of video for the second year running, ahead of “lesbian” and “MILF.” Searches for the word “trans” were up 134% when compared with last year.
According to Pornhub, 67% of American visitors were male, although the share of female users slowly increased this year. The average age of a US Pornhub user was 37. However, sexed-up seniors aged 65 and over accounted for 7% of all visitors.
A whopping 85% of Americans chose to watch porn on their smartphone, perhaps hiding away in a bedroom or bathroom, with the average visit lasting just 9 minutes and 44 seconds.
Interestingly, users in Republican states lasted longer on the site, with Pornhub viewers in Wyoming, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas all reporting an average visit time above 10 minutes.
However, Pornhub explained that those states may simply have slower internet speeds and not residents who last longer in the bedroom.
Meanwhile, the company claims Americans are “pretty regular when it comes to their masturbation schedule,” with Sunday the most popular day for self-pleasure. The website experiences the most traffic in the US around 11 p.m.
Notably, Pornhub experienced a dramatic drop in traffic during February’s Super Bowl, with Americans swapping frisky videos for football.
Traffic plunged almost 20% during the first half of the game but noticeably picked back up during halftime. That means many naughty NFL viewers snuck away for some self-pleasure instead of sticking around to watch The Weeknd perform the halftime show.
