The Hanshin Tigers of Nippon Professional Baseball have won their first Japan Series title in 38 years.

Hanshin defeated the Orix Buffaloes 7-1 in Game 7 of the Japan Series on Friday at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.

With a 4-3 series lead, Hanshin won its second Japan Series title in 38 years, the first since 1985.

Hanshin also made it to the Nippon Series in 2003, 2005, and 2014, when Oh Seung-hwan was the closer, but finished as runners-up. This is the fourth time he's won the title.

The Oryx, who were trying to win their second straight Nippon Series title, bounced back from a 3-2 deficit in Game 6 with Yoshinobu Yamamoto's 138-pitch complete game victory, but a lack of cohesion in the seventh game resulted in a single run.

Hanshin broke a 0-0 tie in the top of the fourth inning, when Sheldon Neugebauer hit a three-run homer over the left field wall off opposing starter Hiroya Miyagi with runners on first and second.

Hanshin made it 6-0 in the top of the fifth when Shota Morishita, Yusuke Oyama, and Noiji hit three straight singles with runners on second and third.

Then, in the top of the ninth, 카지노사이트랭크 Morishita's RBI single made it 7-0, effectively sealing the win.

The Oryx scored a late run in the bottom of the ninth on a solo shot by Yuma Tongu, but it wasn't enough to put the game out of reach.

Hanshin outfielder Koji Chikamoto, who batted .483 in the series, including going 5-for-5 with a leadoff double in Game 7, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Japanese Series.

"All the players fought hard and played well," Chikamoto said. I'm really happy," Chikamoto said, "and I'd like to thank the fans for their support over the years." 섯다
