Hank Azaria Announces New Animated Series After 'Brockmire' Success

Los Angeles, CA – April 16, 2025

Fresh off the critical acclaim of Brockmire and his iconic voice work in The Simpsons, Emmy-winning actor Hank Azaria has revealed his next big project: an original animated comedy series for a major streaming platform.

Titled Freaks of Nature, the show will follow a group of misfit cryptids—think Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and Chupacabra—trying to navigate modern human society while hiding their true identities. Azaria will voice multiple characters and serve as executive producer.

'I've always loved playing larger-than-life characters, both live-action and animated,' Azaria said in a statement. 'This show is a fun, absurd take on what it means to be an outsider—something I think a lot of people can relate to.'

The series, set to premiere in late 2026, has already sparked excitement among fans of Azaria’s versatile voice work, which includes The Simpsons' Moe Szyslak, Chief Wiggum, and Apu.

In addition to Freaks of Nature, Azaria is rumored to be in talks for a dramatic limited series based on a true crime story, proving his range remains as dynamic as ever.
