Hard time might be just what the judge ordered for a porn star who allegedly tossed a dinner plate at her young daughter.
Jasmin Nadine Carte, also known by the on-screen name Holly Halston, was arrested and charged with cruelty toward a child and battery for the incident Monday night in Plantation.
Carte's husband, who is also an adult entertainer, told a Broward judge Tuesday that the porn couple had been at odds for months, which culminated in the plate toss.
Carte, 36, allegedly became so irate that she tossed the dish at her 17-year-old daughter, but missed and the ceramic plate hit her 11-year-old child, who was also at the dinner table. The couple also has a 13-year-old child who was sitting at the table.
The shattered glass cut the child's head and also cut the 17-year-old intended target. Both needed stitches for their lacerations.
It's unclear what the argument was about, but Carte and her husband are famous in the adult film industry for having a great working relationship. The pair have filmed over 150 porn scenes with each other.
The judge set a $5,500 bond for Carte and she will have to undergo a psychological evaluation.
The couple has been the target of several investigations by the Department of Children and Families in the past, the husband admitted in court.

There are rumors circulating the internet about how Holly died sometime in the early 2000s, as she hasn’t been appearing on TV or in the media, however, it is known that she decided to retire from appearing in TV shows in the late ‘90s, but came back on several occasions when invited as a guest in talk shows.

Today, Holly is renting-out several houses that she owns, and is leading a peaceful life in San Antonio.

Holly was raised alongside her younger sister in San Antonio, by the girls’ father who was a car mechanic, and their mother who was a housewife.

Holly grew up being focused on her studies, and when she enrolled at a local high school, she and her peers started reading girly magazines and watching models on TV – this is when Holly began dreaming about becoming a famous model one day, but still focused on her studies, and after matriculating in 1970, she enrolled at a college.

While still attending college, she visited Los Angeles in California , and there began working as a model which led her to quit college and focus on her career.

Holly’s first appearance in a TV show was what made her famous – “The Price Is Right” starred Bob Barker, Janice Pennington and Dian Parkinson, and followed multiple contestants competing to win cash, cars and vacations. All the games in the show were related to the consumer goods pricing, and was a huge hit, winning 48 awards and being nominated for 122 others.

In 1980, Holly appeared as a panelist in two episodes of the comedy family game show “Match Game PM”, and in 1984 featured in the TV special “TV’s Funniest Game Show Moments”.

She made her debut TV series appearance in 1989, when she was cast to portray Newlywed Woman in the episode “The Nutt Cracker Suite” of the comedy “The Nutt House” , and in 1993 Holly made an uncredited appearance as the Spin the Wheel Girl in the action comedy crime movie “Loaded Weapon 1”. In the same year, she guest starred in a single episode of the game show “Family Feud”., and the following year made her second movie appearance when she played The Female Office

r in the short science fiction adventure comedy “Galaxy Beat”. Two years later, Holly played The Toothpaste Spokesperson in the adventure science fiction thriller movie “The Tomorrow Man”.

She featured in the TV special “The Price Is Right 25th Anniversary Special” in 1996, and in 2002 guest starred in a single episode of the documentary series “E! True Hollywood Story”. Her final two appearances on TV were captured in 2005, when she guest starred in an episode of the mini-series “Game Show Moments Gone Bananas”, and an episode of the talk show “The View”.

Holly was let go from “The Price Is Right” in 1995 by the show’s host Bob Barker, and subsequently claimed that she was dismissed because she gained 14lbs (6.4kgs), also that she was let go because she wouldn’t support Bob when he was sued for sexual harassment by Dian Parkinson, a former American model.

Bob counter-sued Holly, but dropped the suit two days before the trial began, and had to pay Holly’s legal fees – this motivated Holly to sue Bob, and the legal fight went on for years before it was settled in October 2005. During the years she fought Bob in court, Holly used all her savings, sold her house to pay for her lawyer, and lived in a car for a year . She eventually received several million dollars as settlement, and could’ve received more if she had accepted to not talk about Bob in the media ever again – she launched a foundation which has since been helping people who have been mistreated at their workplace.

After the models Kathleen Bradley and Janice Pennington, production assistants Sherrill Paris and Linda Riegert, and the director Paul Alter all testified against Bob, they were fired from the show – every one of them sued Bob, accepting out-of-court financial settlements, while Paul was eventually invited to come back to the show which he accepted in 2000.

Holly has kept details of her love life hidden from the media’s attention since she launched her modelling career, and there are rumors circulating the internet that she dated several men during those years she was shooting for “The Price Is Right”. Many of her fans claimed that they saw her walking hand in hand with several men in a period of three months, but Holly has never agreed to comment on her love life – it is also believed by some that she is a lesbian, while two of her fans have even claimed to have seen her kissing her female friend at a Los Angeles club.

As of September 2020, Holly is single , she hasn’t married and doesn’t have children.

Holly has ventured into the real estate industry, and is the owner of several houses around San Antonio, most of which she leases, while she is today living in one of these.

She apparently spent her entire life being on a strict diet, eating mostly vegetables and fruits, and it wasn’t until she was done with modelling that she became interested in tasting various cuisines and travelling around the world – she has been to many European countries with her favorite being France, especially its capital city Paris, and she has also travelled to Asia on multiple occasions visiting China and Japan.

She is a lover of animals, and has had many pet dogs and cats.

Holly likes to watch movies late at night, and her favorite actors and actresses are Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Angelina Jolie, and some of her favorite movies are “Titanic”, “Catch Me If You Can” and “Good Will Hunting”.

Holly’s age is 68. She has long brown hair and blue eyes, her height is 5ft 11ins (1.8m) and she weighs around 155lbs (70kgs).

As of September 2020, her net worth has been estimated at over $10 million.

A shame Dian,Holly and others fell into this just to earn a living..I believe these women who sued Barker, especially Dian Parkinson.. Hope they live comfortable..
Think of the many wronged who live on the street snd do not get compensated.
Always loved Holly best of all “Barker’s Beauties” (mostly because she never posed nude and/or never appeared in Playboy. My paternal Grandfather loved her too and called her Holly my Dolly. Such a shame Bob did what he did to Holly and the other models.
On the chance Holly bothers to read this, I just wanted to say that I hope you have found happiness in your life. I’m glad you seem to have avoided the circus of stardom and its perils. May you live your life contented and happy. We miss you and remember you with much fondness.
Bob Barker is a typical narcissist that needs people to fawn all over him. I like Drew Carey better anyway.

Holly Anne Hallstrom (born August 24, 1952) is an American former model. She was one of the models (" Barker's Beauties ") on the daytime game show The Price Is Right , from 1977 to 1995. [ citation needed ]

On January 3, 1977, Hallstrom joined the cast of The Price Is Right as the third model after Anitra Ford left the program the previous fall. Hallstrom appeared, along with Janice Pennington and Dian Parkinson , as one of the principal models on all versions of the show from 1977 through the early 1990s.

Hallstrom briefly left the program in 1983 to pursue an acting career but rejoined the cast in 1984.

In September 1995, host Bob Barker dismissed Hallstrom from The Price Is Right . She later alleged that Barker ordered her off the show because of 14 pounds (6.4 kg) she had gained due to a prescription medication she was taking. [1] Hallstrom later alleged that the real reason for her dismissal was her refusal to support Barker when another model, Dian Parkinson , sued him for sexual harassment. Hallstrom said Barker ordered her to go on talk shows and do interviews saying that Parkinson was lying, and to recall certain events differently from how she remembered them. [ citation needed ] Hallstrom, who did not want to get involved in the situation or perjure herself, refused and was dismissed from the show. [2] In response to angry letters from fans of the series after Hallstrom's dismissal, Barker sued Hallstrom for libel and slander ( Barker v. Hallstrom ), claiming that she was lying, but dropped the suit 48 hours before the trial began. The court declared Hallstrom the prevailing party and ordered Barker to pay Hallstrom's legal fees.

Hallstrom countersued Barker for age, weight and medical discrimination, wrongful termination and malicious prosecution ( Hallstrom v. Barker ) and in October 2005 received a multimillion-dollar settlement. The settlement would have possibly been more, but early settlement agreements all contained a "hush clause" that banned Hallstrom from saying anything disparaging about Barker to the media. However, Barker refused to agree to the mutuality clause of the settlement agreement, thereby retaining the right to speak freely against Hallstrom in the media. To retain her right to speak about the case, and to protect herself against what she called Barker's "shameful manipulation of the media", Hallstrom accepted a lesser financial amount but with a settlement that did not contain a hush clause. [3] She has also started a foundation for people who have suffered wrongful or malicious workplace conditions and do not have the resources to confront powerful individuals or companies. [2]

Following their testimonies in Barker's lawsuit against Hallstrom, models Janice Pennington , Kathleen Bradley , production assistants Linda Riegert and Sherrill Paris, and veteran director Paul Alter all lost their jobs on The Price Is Right . Pennington, who was with the show since its 1972 debut, and Bradley (1990–2000) received out-of-court financial settlements. Pennington's contained a hush clause which banned her from speaking publicly against Barker. Although she has not spoken publicly about Barker or her departure from The Price Is Right since receiving her financial settlement, Bradley has referred to her termination as "abrupt" and "unexpected". Paris sued Barker for wrongful termination. Another production assistant, Sharon Friem, who was also dismissed at the time, sued Barker for wrongful termination, sexual harassment and sex discrimination, claiming she was the target of many inappropriate sexual remarks and gestures. Both women received financial settlements to drop their lawsuits. Alter briefly regained his position on the show in 2000 where he remained until he retired.

Hallstrom has never married and has no children, which is why she believes she was the one member of The Price Is Right who could stand up to what she called "miserable tyranny at the hands of a mad dictator" (referring to Barker). During the nearly ten years her lawsuit was in the courts, she spent all of her savings, sold her house, and ended up living out of her car. [ citation needed ] She said in interviews, [ which? ] "I refused to give up and let that evil old bastard win." She is now semi-retired and living in one of several houses she owns in and around San Antonio . [2] She has given occasional interviews for shows such as The Today Show and The View . [ citation needed ]

Hallstrom also appeared several times as a guest panelist on Match Game . In the early 1990s she made several appearances on Family Feud with her Price Is Right co-stars, most of whom played against the cast of The Young and the Restless . [4]
