The technique I usually use now is to start the waves lower on the hair, and hold each “bite” longer as I go towards the ends. So I hold very briefly at the top, about a second in the middle, and maybe 3 seconds at the end. I still don’t think they really look natural, but I’m not always going for natural.

This is my writing blog. I'm probably going to spend most my time here writing short snippets and short shorts. I'm obsessed with horror, gothic punk, paranormal romance, urban fantasy, noire, and cyber punk.

most of my writing focuses on lgbtqia characters and/or Neuroatypical characters. this is mainly due to the fact that I fit in both of these categories and want to see people like me represented in writing.
Have you ever had that haircut you really wanted, but were too afraid to get? The side shave is that for me I haven’t cut my hair in four years. I wish I could; but every time I mention it I’m met with oppisition of how beautiful my hair is and how lucky I am to be blessed with it. I hate it. It tangles, it’s overly gendered, it’s really not me.
I want short, I want queer, I want a brightly colored pixie cut with one side shaved. I don’t because I am too scared. But you know what? It’s only hair. It will grow back.
In a world that hates you and debates who you are without your consent; A smile is the sharpest dagger. A genuine smile in knowing that no matter what, they have yet to break you or unmake you. You are strong, you are wonderful, you are valid, you are you.
I stare in the mirror, trying not to let my sadness show. Looking straight into my eyes, those eyes that tell how long I have been able to be strong. But it hasn’t been enough. A tear leaves my eye, just a single one as I need to be strong yet another day, I need to hold on one more day. Walking down the streets, ignoring the dirty stares as people try to figure out if I’m either a girl or a boy, whether I can pee or get married; whether or not i’m less than them. I’m neither, yes I can, no I’m not. I remain as strong as I can fake. People debate if I am ever valid. 
I get to work, holding the tears back, holding the rage back; behind these eyes, just one more day.
