Hello, dear friend! We have prepared the HSE RUN'30 guide for you. Below you can read a detailed guide on what to do and what not to do at HSE RUN. Please note: this time many changes await all of us, so we ask you to carefully read the rules! If you have any questions or experience any technical issues, please contact us via our VKontakte community (https://vk.com/hserun)

Anyone who loves Moscow and puzzles can take part in HSE RUN!

How to Register?

  1. Go to hserun.ru
  2. Click “Register”, then choose “Sign in via Telegram”
  3. To create a profile, you need to complete Telegram’s official authorization:
  • Enter the phone number linked to your Telegram
  • Confirm login in the Telegram app
  1. Return to the website and fill in your full name (first name, last name, patronymic).

Please write your full name, as this is required for access to the event site.

  1. Congratulations! Now you have your personal account, where you can:
  • Edit your profile
  • Create a team
  • Invite team members

Possible Registration Issues

  • Login/registration doesn’t work in Telegram’s built-in browser → Try another browser, since the Telegram browser behaves differently for different users.
  • “Authentication error” → Go to Telegram settings and check that you have a username set. Create one or make sure it’s public.

How to Create a Team?

  1. In your account, go to the “Team” section. Enter a team name, select the quest language, and click “Create.”
  2. By clicking the “pen” 🖊️ icon, you can edit the team name, quest language, or delete the team.
  3. To invite participants, click the “copy” icon (next to the pen). The invite link will be copied to your clipboard—send it to your teammates. They’ll need to create a profile (if they haven’t yet) and then they’ll be able to join your team.

Please avoid using offensive language when naming your team.

What if I Don’t Have a Team?

No problem — you can register as an individual!

  • Register normally (as explained above).
  • If you’re looking for a team, check the box “Looking for a team” in the Team section. Later you’ll get contacts of team captains who are recruiting.
  • If you already have a team but are open to new members, check “Looking for teammates” so solo players can join you.

Personal Score

This year we’re introducing personal scoring — each participant earns points to win prizes from the project and our partners.

At program events (opening & closing): You’ll receive fixed points for attending event stations.

During the quest: Your team earns points for solving puzzles.

  • Each participant’s personal score = Team’s total score ÷ Number of teammates

At the opening and closing, you’ll find event stations with challenges. Complete them, show your QR code to the organizer, and you’ll earn points depending on the difficulty of the station. These personal points will help you win prizes at the project closing ceremony.

Don’t miss the opening — it’s your chance to earn points and grab rewards from our partners!

  • English Quest

Each category has 6 themed blocks:

  • Russian Quest → 5 puzzles per block = 30 puzzles total

Points and Coins

Max points per puzzle = 10

  • Correct answer only → 4 points
  • Answer + visiting the location & checking in with an Insider → extra 6 points

Who are Insiders?

They’re event helpers at each location, wearing white HSE RUN T-shirts. Show them your team QR code — they’ll award your points.

Hints

  1. Every solved puzzle or insider visit = +0.5 hint charge.
  2. When the hint meter fills, you can use it.
  3. Each team starts with 2 free hints.

If you use a hint:

  • Puzzle solved = 2 points
  • Visit location = 3 points
  • Total = 5 points

Bonus Points

  • Solve an entire block → +5 points
  • Visit all locations in that block → +5 more points

Final Score Calculation
