Housefull is a 2010 Indian Hindi language comedy drama film directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, The dialogues were written by Anvita Dutt while Nadiadwala wrote the storyline and Rameshwar S. Bhagat served as the editor. It became the first installment of the Housefull franchise. It was loosely remade from the 1998 Tamil film Kaathala Kaathala. The film stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan. The supporting cast consists of Boman Irani, Chunky Pandey, Randhir Kapoor, Lillete Dubey and Malaika Arora, with Jacqueline Fernandez featured in an item number. It was shot across London and Italy on a budget of ₹30 crore (US$3.5 million). The film marked the last screen appearance of Khan, who died three years after its release on 3 June 2013. The film was released worldwide on April 30, 2010, to mixed critical reviews, on over 750 screens in India. Nevertheless, it proved to be a commercial success. The film grossed over ₹124.50 crore (US$15 million) at the worldwide box office and was declared a super hit. It emerged as the fifth highest-earning Bollywood film of 2010 only behind Dabangg, Golmaal 3, Raajneeti and My Name Is Khan according to its net collections of ₹75 crore (US$8.9 million) domestically. The film went on to spawn three spiritual sequels–Housefull 2, Housefull 3 and Housefull 4–released in 2012, 2016 and 2019 respectively. A fifth film titled Housefull 5 with two prints Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B was released on 6 June 2025.

Housefull 2, sometimes called Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen, is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film written and directed by Sajid Khan. Housefull 4 is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language fantasy action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios. The film is the fourth installment of the Housefull series, and stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde and Kriti Kharbanda in the lead roles. The plot deals with reincarnation. Three brothers are set to marry three sisters. However, a peek into the distant past reveals to one of the brothers that their brides have been mixed up in their current reincarnation. Riteish Deshmukh (born 17 December 1978) is an Indian actor, television presenter, producer, screenwriter and filmmaker who works in Hindi and Marathi cinema. He is the son of politician Vilasrao Deshmukh.
