Street HawkStreet Hawk is an American action television series that aired for 14 episodes on ABC in 1985. The series is a Limekiln and Templar Production in association with Universal Television. Its central characters were created by Paul M. Belous and Robert Wolterstorff, and its core format was developed by Bruce Lansbury, who had initially commissioned the program's creation. This series was originally planned for the fall of 1984, Mondays at 8:00PM Eastern/7:00PM Central; however, ABC executives changed their minds when the summer series Call to Glory did well, and Street Hawk was pushed to mid-season. Street Hawk made its debut on Friday, January 4, 1985, on ABC at 9:00PM Eastern/8:00PM Central and ran until May 16, 1985.
Tony Hawk's Downhill JamTony Hawk's Downhill Jam is a skateboarding video game in the Tony Hawk's series. The game, named after the level "Downhill Jam" from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, was published by Activision in 2006 as a timed Nintendo exclusive for the Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and Wii (as a launch title). In 2007, it was published for the PlayStation 2. It is a spin-off in which accompanies the release of Tony Hawk's Project 8, which is conversely available on non-Nintendo systems. As a departure from Neversoft's Tony Hawk games, Downhill Jam emphasizes gaining speed and racing opponents, as well as competing for high scores and completing goals. This is the only racing title in the series.
BMW S1000RRBMW S1000RR is a race orientated sport bike initially made by BMW Motorrad to compete in the 2009 Superbike World Championship, that is now in commercial production. It was introduced in Munich in April 2008, and is powered by a 999 cc (61.0 cu in) transverse inline four-cylinder engine redlined at 14,200 rpm. BMW made 1,000 S1000RRs in 2009 to satisfy World Superbike homologation requirements, but expanded production for commercial sale of the bike in 2010. It has a standard anti-lock braking system, with an optional electronic traction control. As of 2016, it has a wet weight of 204 kg (450 lb), and produces 148.4 kW (199.0 hp; 201.8 PS) at 13,500 rpm. With 133.6 kW (179.2 hp; 181.6 PS) to the rear wheel, it was the most powerful motorcycle in the class on the dyno. S1000RR is currently the second fastest road legal bike, surpassing the Kawasaki Ninja H2 in most scenarios. It goes upto 310kmph in the latest generation and accelerates to 300kmph in just 20 seconds.
Michael DunlopMichael Dunlop (born 10 April 1989) is a Northern Irish professional motorcycle road racer and the record holder for the number of wins and podiums at the prestigious Isle of Man TT, having amassed a total of 33 victories and having stood on the podium 51 times. These results make him the undisputed greatest of all time for this event. Forming part of a motorcycle road racing dynasty, Michael is the brother of the late William Dunlop, son of the late Robert Dunlop and nephew of the late Joey Dunlop, whose all time record of 26 TT wins he surpassed in 2024. Dunlop is a former individual lap record holder for the Isle of Man TT Snaefell Mountain Course set during the 2016 Senior TT in a time of 16 minutes 53.929 seconds at an average speed of 133.962 mph (215.591 km/h). This result made him the first rider in the history of the Isle of Man TT to achieve a lap of the course in under 17 minutes. Nicknamed "The Raging Bull," Dunlop is widely considered as one of the most combative competitors in motorcycle racing having been described in 2015 as possessing of: "an aggressive style which was spectacular to watch." This pugnacious attitude has led to numerous confrontations with race teams, rival competitors and on occasion, his late brother. In addition he has often refused to acknowledge the names of his fellow competitors.
Kyle RydeKyle Brandon Ryde (born 22 July 1997) is an English motorcycle solo road racer. In 2024, Ryde won the British Superbike Championship, beating Tommy Bridewell by one point in the final race of the season. For 2022, he rode in BSB with OMG Racing, switching to Yamaha machinery as used in 2021 by the McAMS team. For 2023 and 2024, Ryde continued with the same team and machinery – the first time in Superbikes that he had continued for subsequent seasons on the same machine. During 2021, he was contracted to OMG BMW in the British Superbike Championship (BSB), with a commitment to continue with the same team for 2022 using Yamaha R1 machines. For 2020, he rode in British Superbikes for Hawk Racing under the Buildbase Suzuki brand. In 2019, Ryde competed in a full season of British GP2 racing for Ryan Saxelby Racing (RS Racing) run as a separate class within the British Supersport Championship events, winning the championship.
2023 British Superbike ChampionshipThe 2023 British Superbike Championship season is the 36th season of the motorcycle championship. Bradley Ray was the reigning champion, but chose to compete in the 2023 Superbike World Championship. The championship was won by Tommy Bridewell, winning the closest-ever BSB season, defeating teammate Glenn Irwin by just half a point.
Hawk RacingHawk Racing is a motorcycle racing team headquartered in Leicestershire, UK. Founded by Stuart Hicken in 1999, the team is currently headed by Steve Hicken, Stuart's son. The team primarily races modified Honda Fireblade superbikes.
