When was the last time that you, as a man, evaluated what your type of woman is? Do you prefer the skinny mini or the meaty? Are you a legs guy? Do you like a toned back or stunning arms? Maybe you have jumped on media trends where one day it is a nice physique and the other, it is the au natural look. Maybe now you have jumped on the big butt hype that has hit Hollywood; men seem to be easily influenced and can sometimes have unrealistic images of what a woman’s body should truly look like. Images of big butts are constantly being tossed in people’s faces, so do we really have to question why men are now somewhat obsessed with having a big booty girl? Because society is so easily influenced, it is not hard to believe that more men are now in love with woman who possess that curvy figure that they so enjoy looking at. So what draws men to this figure? Could it really be the media? They can’t have that much influence, can they? This can simply be chalked up to the fact that society is changing along with trends, what was once hot is simply now not and men are being more open about what they value in their women because at the end of the day, no matter how hard one tries to deny it; the ultimate goal in life for most people is to have a family, and a significant other who they can look at 20 or 30 years from now and still want to roll in the hay with. Who knows how long the big booty will be sought after but for now, here are a few damn good reasons why men are obsessed with a big butt.
Okay, so technically it is the second thing that men notice after they have probably taken a long gander at your breasts. Scientifically speaking, men apparently like scoping out how round your butt is after they assess how big or small your boobs are. They like to know that they are getting the best of both worlds and furthermore, they like an almost perfect balance of boob to butt; to them it makes their women seem “complete”. Did anyone realize how many 'butt men' there are in this world? Move over boobs, the booty is taking over whether you like it or not.
Apparently it is a popular trend to rest things on a girls big behind, and while it has started with beer it seems to have moved on to several items; a plate of food, an umbrella and maybe the most popular of them all, a nice cushy head rest for you too dose off on. But men fail to realize that their head weighs a ton and it is probably one of the most uncomfortable things to rest on a girls butt. Most of us will take a can of beer any day; however, there is more to this resting phase then just the “cool” aspect of it, it is more of a showing off what my girl can do thing. Guys are now bragging through pictures how strong and sturdy their girl's butt is.
When you are in the club and your favorite song comes on, the first thing you do is look for a girl with a pretty face only to creep up behind her and use her bum to rub yourself up against. While it is a common dance move, it can sometimes make for an awkward situation. However, awkwardness aside, a man loves nothing more than to grind up on a woman without even having to ask her name. A big butt makes for a great grinding cushion; it fits perfectly into the guy's hips and hits all the right spots. In any other setting, this would be ridiculously inappropriate.
Being able to date a chick even though she does not have the ideal body shows true character. Keeping an open mind and being able to date someone that is not necessarily ideal gets you brownie points all day long. Yes having a big butt may be a fad now but when that fad wears off and you are still into big booty girls, then let’s be honest ladies, he's a keeper. Your butt will not deflate once the fad has worn off and for him to keep an interest shows that there is more there than just a physical aspect toy your relationship.
While the butt is the main asset, studies show that men are actually attracted to the curve of the spine. Why you ask? The 45 degree curve that is in the spine forces the bottom to be pushed out which forces us to believe that angles are what turn men on. A study showed that after surveying 100 men between the ages of 17 to 34, that rated silhouettes of women from a side angle found out that they “overwhelmingly preferred the uber-bendy images”. So while men believe they are attracted to the size, it is more of the curve that they love.
Having a big butt means having something to hang on to. Men are visually stimulated normally but they also do not know how to keep their hands to themselves and when they see something they want to grab, they generally go for it (as long as it is permitted). A big butt is always something good to grab 0n to and if you have two handful worth of grabs, then you may be feeling more hands on your butt then you might like. The primitive move of grabbing a girl's butt to show her how much you are into her seems to be back in full effect. Girls get ready to feel like a pin cushion.
A man really loves when you’re bootie can fill out a pair of jeans. Having a non-existent butt can make it hard to find a pair of jeans that compliments it. Don’t get it twisted, this is not Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants part 1 or part 2, and a pair of jeans that may work for one person is not guaranteed to work for another person. However, when you do find that great pair that makes your butt look fantastic you can rest assure that your man and every other man will be checking for you; plus your man has something to show off to his friends.
Like women, men are also easily manipulated by media and the current hype around the world’s new obsession with big booty girls is having a lasting effect on these boys. Nicki Minaj, Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez are just some women who have made a name for themselves partially because of their booties. The sought after hour glass figure is making men go crazy, and re-inventing their “type” of woman. Now yes, it is true, not every guy has jumped on this big booty bandwagon but the ones that have are very adamant about finding a girl with something to hold onto.
Recently a study was done by psychologist Gordon G. Gallup Jr. that stated that women with bigger butts are a sign of a woman who are healthy and can bare children. When men see a woman with an hour glass figure, their narrow waist shows that they are not pregnant but their big bottoms show that they are very capable of having a healthy child and an easy childbirth. Besides the scientific side of things, women generally have to work their butts offs (no pun intended) to get that big booty and that tiny waist, and men love to watch a woman workout.
