I'm of Indian origin (but born and brought up in the UK) - I've 'caramel' coloured skin, and was wondering if this puts off white guys?
I've been told that I'm pretty...if it helps to know I'm 5'2", have dark brown hair and dark brown eyes

The fact that you are too short for the average height of a British white guy and you are indian means you aren't appealing to the general white person.
I would say, yes it is a put off, not exactly your skin colour but other factors. I suppose you can express your interest for white guys on a dating website and that will atract the attention you're seeking.

Probably, than again I think you're complexion can put a Indian boy off. The race of the person is irrelevant, some white guys might not like you're complexion and some might like it, same goes for every race. To think that people wont like you because of you're skin complexion seems to be quite bizarre and to think like that would put be off.

Sure. As a white guy my preference in terms of looks is generally for white girls. But I still fancy a fair proportion of Indian girls, albeit a way smaller proportion than white girls.
The main issue would be cultural differences. Even very minor seemingly irrelevant differences can put people off unfortunately. You'd probably have to be very westernised to have a good chance.
Do you care what your family think about you dating a white guy? I'd be reluctant to date a girl if it's going to cause her issues with her family.

I personally don't care what colour skin someone has, as long as they are someone who I am attracted to in other ways skin tone doesn't matter.

Rarely if at all will a white woman ever ask this question about an indian man.
Infact on tsr, i have seen white women and indian women making a thread bashing indian men.

If she meets the criteria then of course we would, it is all about preferences, some wouldn't date outside their race due to being stuck in their parents/peers philosophies and cannot think for themselves, they are limiting the chances of happiness. If anything having the exotic look can work in your favour . That caramel skin

Dark skin, including Indian coloured skin, is a serious turn off for me, regardless of how hot they are in other aspects. I'd never date an Indian.
