Life in plastic, it’s fantastic — just ask the living “Ken” doll.
Botox boy-toy Jimmy Featherstone, 22, has shelled out over $14,000 on lip fillers, cheek implants and veneers toward sculpting himself into Barbie’s handsome hunk of arm candy, Ken.
And whether he’ll be paying with paper or plastic, the wannabe doll says his costly cosmetic transformation journey is just getting started.
“I have had lots of procedures done in the last 12 months but this is only the beginning,” Featherstone told SWNS.
“If I had to describe what I want to look like, it would be a Ken doll. I just think he’s plastic fantastic and looks amazing.”
Featherstone, a native of Hull — which is a small city in northeastern England — works in his hometown as a director at a friend’s boutique.
He left high school at 16, and — in true Barbie fashion — has since held down a number of jobs in order to earn enough money to pay for his Ken doll cosmetic procedures and pretty upkeep.
“I have always been someone who wants to stand out from the crowd,” said the self-purported “diva.”
“And now I even want to look a bit more out there than I already do. I want to look more plastic — that’s the aesthetic I like.”
Featherstone gets his sandy-brown hair styled on a weekly basis, regularly spends over $400 on lip and cheek fillers and is gearing up to get a nose job in the coming months.
And his high-priced physique comes with a high-roller’s lifestyle to match — including shopping sprees at Chanel and Moncler, Champagne lunches and helicopter rides just for fun.
Featherstone even threw himself a nearly $3,000 birthday extravaganza earlier this month.
“It was very classy and absolutely fabulous. Some people have compared it to a wedding,” he bragged.
The swanky celebration was made complete with a three-tier cake, fireworks on entry, a bouquet of flowers laced with money and limousine transportation services.
“I just love going all out and getting people talking. What can I say?” Featherstone said coyly. “If there’s a party I’ll organize a limo and get makeup artists along, it’s just what I enjoy doing. I like the finer things in life.”
And that goes for the men in his life, too.
Featherstone is slated to appear in an upcoming UK reality TV series. He hopes to find love while filming — preferably with a silver fox who’s got a lot of green.
“My ex was older than my dad, so people know me for being with older men. I’ve always been attracted to them,” he said.
“I don’t think anyone my age can give me the lifestyle that I want, whereas someone who is older and has made their money can,” the Barbie-to-be added, noting that he loves to get all dolled up in designer clothes and be whisked away on lavish vacations.
And for any internet trolls turning up their noses at his Ken-inspired lip, cheek and nose jobs, Featherstone said: “The way I see it, if people are talking about me then I’ve done something right.
“I don’t care what people think or say. I’m doing what I enjoy.”

Women aren’t the only ones to get addicted to plastic surgery and end up looking like they aren’t human. Men can fall victim to too many procedures, too. And sometimes, there are serious risks and side effects involved with leading a life that boarders on being too plastic.
Rodrigo Alves is a 32-year-old Brazilian man that is known on social media as the human Ken Doll. Thanks to at least 42 procedures, he’s been able to transform himself into a real-life walking doll. But last week, human Ken wasn’t so lucky as he suffered from a hole in his nostril that he said was eating his nose. In fact, Alves was told that if the infection wasn’t under control, it could potentially eat away at his face.
Luckily, Alves, who has not been diagnosed with body dysmorphic disorder, was treated with IV antibiotics, which got the infection under control. But the damage (specifically rotted tissue) caused by the necrosis is said to be permanent. Reconstructive surgery may be the only way to potentially lessen the effects of the damage.
Yesterday, he posted on his Instagram this photo with a caption reading, “#botched but soon to be fixed. For the 44 th time it isn’t the end of the world.”

“Celebrity Big Brother” star and so-called “human Ken Doll” Rodrigo Alves has come out as transgender, the 36-year-old revealed to the Mirror on Sunday.
“I’m known as Ken but inside I’ve always felt like Barbie,” Alves, who will now go by Roddy and use “she” and “her” pronouns, tells the Mirror while wearing a dress and heels. “I finally feel like the real me. Glamorous, beautiful and feminine.”
Alves has reportedly spent more than $650,000 to achieve her Ken Doll-like look — including having four ribs removed , a “cat-eye” lift and so many nose surgeries that it began sinking and disintegrating — and has now spent even more to achieve a D-cup bust and bigger hips and lips.
She has also deleted all previous posts from her Instagram , which now exclusively features photos of Alves as Barbie, not Ken.
The years of previous plastic surgery were an attempt to live as an enhanced version of her assigned male sex, says the Brazil-born London resident. Now that she identifies with Barbie instead of Ken, she finally feels content.
“For years I tried to live my life as a man. I had a fake six-pack put in, I had fake muscles in my arms, but I was lying to myself,” she says. “I’m a woman and have always had a feminine brain. Now my body matches my mind.”
She’s been enjoying the male attention her new female looks get her, and is excited to finish her transformation with gender reassignment surgery.
“I will have a penile inversion and my testicles will be removed. That will be the final step,” says the former flight attendant. “Before that I’m having silicone breast implants. I’ll be able to wear dresses that show my cleavage and look sexy. I’m very excited.”
Face feminization surgery, involving a forehead reshaping, the removal of Alves’ Adam’s apple and the shaving of her jawline, are also soon to come, she says.
Alves realized she wanted to transition during a photo shoot last year, she says, but she’s long been aware of certain feminine tendencies.
“Growing up, I was very feminine and used to play with dolls and wear my mum’s dresses and heels,” she says, adding that she had breasts as a kid, due to her body producing more estrogen than most males.
After the shoot, though, her transformation into Barbie was rapid.
“Within a month I was diagnosed with gender dysmorphic disorder and given the option to start the appropriate medication to transition,” she says. “Before, people looked at me because I looked very androgynous and weird for a man. Now I hope they are looking because they think I am a beautiful woman.”
