If you buy a used guitar make sure it is not damaged. Check the base for cracks. Check the bridge. There should be no gap in the bridge. Make sure it is not bent and the chords are easy to play.

Once you get your guitar, you need to learn how to hold it, how to tune it, and how to care for it. This way you will be able to play it right and the guitar will sound good. If the guitar is not tuned properly it can hamper your learning because you won’t be able to produce the right sounds out of it.
