#Guinea cancels 41 mining permits
On March 10, the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Guinea issued a decree revoking 41 permits for the operation of quarries. The measure affects national and foreign companies.
Reasons for the decision: expiration of permits, gross non-compliance with the provisions of the revised Mining Code. Assets are immediately and gratuitously returned to the ownership of the State.
The Government of Guinea intends to restore order in the operation of quarries, ensure compliance with legal obligations and strengthen control over the use of natural resources.
