1. Shutting Down all the Running Applications

· First of all, close QuickBooks, and then close all running QuickBooks processes.

· Followed by typing in C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\ v8(or v6) in the ‘Run’ window and hit the 'OK' tab.

· For the above step, you will have to open the task manager.

· Now move to the tab named processes and find all 'QBW32.EXE' instances.

· After that, choose them and then select the 'End Task' option.

· Next, remove the 'EntitlementDataStore.ecml' file and then open the QuickBooks company file and register the application.

2. Removing the Ecml File

· First, press the combination of Windows + R keys.

· And then, a window will appear on the screen, and then enter or copy and paste it at C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.
