Welcome to Tijuana! Sister city to San Diego and over all borderland. This city is not as scary as the media might have you believe. Our community is small but the city is gigantic. There is much more to Tijuana than you can imagine.

Do any of the girls in this city want to stay in this city? I have notice a trend that the minute that they can leave to the US, they will even if it mean breaking up the family.
i know a few. some own businesses there. but i wont speak for them or generalize.
I am not saying that they can't work on the other side, I'm saying why abandon the city? Tijuana is just as good as the other side in housing. When comes to the amount of money they'll be making unless there make above 150k there not going to be moving into La Jolla they will most likely rent while they can't put that money to buying a nice place in Tijuana.
None of them want to stay here because almost none of them are from here. They know nothing but work and their hotel room and rarely even enjoy the city (some do).
Regular girls... I know plenty that live/work in Tijuana comfortably and have no future plans of moving. And many of them that would like to go somewhere.
Regular not sex workers (the pc term), yes there some but there are more men that I know that are currently going thru this, I was wondering if a woman could give me the thinking behind these actions. Mexico is changing, some for the better and some for the worst. Tijuana needs families, that wil change the attitude of how we view this city and the need to increase security in the entire city, find a way to have livable priced housing and reduce corruption.
I was born here, been to other places... TJ is quite liberal. I still like it here, you can remain kinda anonymous; unlike say... a small city like Rosarito, not a bad place either.
Chihuahua: TOO HOT/people too... conservative
Rosarito: Booooriiiing, except maybe if you have cash to move around and buy food everywhere
Guadalajara: EXPENSIVE AS FUCK, plenty of everything there though, rains plenty in summer. Not bad.
Puerto Vallarta: eh... too humid maybe, it's nice in winter, smallish though
I keep coming back to Tijuana, except for the crazy peaks of heat, it's dry-ish and used to it. Getting too crowded though.
I think you're generalizing a bit here... I am a girl and I don't really wanna leave to the US, of course I'd like to earn dollars but it's not like I have to do it no matter what nor am looking for opportunities or anything, it's not a plan of mine.
I also have friends who are legal US citizens but don't even want to work there, they have no interest in that atm.
And on the other hand, I do have friends (male and female) that want to leave no matter what, some legally, some however but just go there and win more money.
It is a general joke tho among my friends and I and I think most people here, of marrying a gringo (a) so that we can go live/work there or just go to work illegally in whatever but that's just a joke.
So anyway, that's a general thing for the people here, some either want to ge tf out as soon as they can and some others don't mind, but it's not specific to girls only.
I can only generalize, I have no stats to point exactly which sex is most likely to leave. I agree people joke about it until they have the actual opportunity then the joke becomes the wish and the wish becomes the demand. I agree, those who come from other parts of the Republic most likely have no affinity with the city, they most likely don't consider it a real Mexican city (what I have overheard on the street). But for those born in the city I find it hard to understand (hence the post) why leave Tijuana as it is there seems to be few natives in the city.
Lots of Mexicans in general jump at the opportunity to live/work in the US. I honestly haven't seen TJ "girls" do this more than anyone else, and definitely much less than TJ guys.
I am going to guess that the opportunity to crossover to the US legally happens more often to women thru marriage. I willing to wager on a 2 to 1 ratio, hence my originally phrased question.
