Greetings from Ukraine!
As you know, God has given me the privilege of being the leader of the student ministry team in the Dnipro for 4 years!
It is almost all our team autumn 2019 :)
During this time, there were a lot of challenges from God and God's blessings have been very visible! Just last year, about 500 students had the opportunity to get in touch with living Christians and to be at our events that we organized in our city. We were able to meet in person with more than 250 of them several times and talk with them about Christ! Seven students accepted Christ into their hearts and two of them became missionaries! This is only in one year!
I want to share with you several challenges that we have now.
In January, we will have a special opportunity for the students. All of the leaders of student ministry teams from across eastern Europe come together. In this conference, we will pray together and seek God's face. We will also discuss contemporary challenges in the ministry of evangelism and discipleship among students and the possibilities of how to solve them. I think it will be a very good time to share experiences and learn about the ministry experience of other teams and countries. I think that such a meeting will be able to show other perspectives and give practical ideas on how to conduct our ministry more efficiently.
This conference will be in the Czech Republic. In order for Lena and I to have the opportunity to be part of this conference, we need $1,500.
It i also our family 12th year as we serve as missionaries among students. And now we feel that is the time has come for us to stop active ministry and go to the Sabbatical for 3 months in the spring 2020 to refresh our relationship with God, our family relationships and experience a renew our vision from God to continue serve as missionaries for the next years. But in order for us to be able to go to the Sabbatical for 3 months, we need approximately an extra $ 3000
We had prayed about how to meet this needs, we feel the Lord has urged us to turn to you and ask if you have the opportunity and desire to help us meet this need with a one time gift of any amount. Your generosity will help us have the opportunity to attend this conference share the experience of our ministry, as well as learn the experience of other teams and receive new ideas from God in order to more effectively continue to serve students in the Dnipro. And it will help us renew our spiritual strength in order to continue to be missionaries and serve to our God!
