Green Maple
Bogdan Georgievich LisitsaIn the Book of Psalms the Righteous One is compared to a green tree.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
(Psalm 1:3)
The true righteous is Jesus Christ.
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous
(1 John 2:1)
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
(1 John 2:29)
When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him
(Matthew 27:19)
Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man
(Luke 23:47)
Three different people testify that Jesus Christ is Righteous.
Jesus Christ compared Himself to the Green Tree:
For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?
(Luke 23:31)
These are the words of Jesus Christ about his suffering and the future suffering of the Jewish people. Jesus Christ called himself a green tree, and the Jewish people - a withered tree. Subsequently, it turned out that although the sufferings of Jesus Christ were great, the sufferings of the Jewish people far exceeded them. During the siege of Jerusalem there was a famine and Jewish women ate their children. The Romans killed Jews en masse. The nations persecuted them. The Germans poisoned Jews en masse in gas chambers and burned them in crematoria. There were so many burned Jews that the Germans fertilized the fields with their ashes. It was the tragedy of the withered tree.

In the early Middle Ages, when people still remembered the Christianity of Mary Magdalene, the Green Man was a common motif in art, sculpture and drawings. Images in churches, chapels, monasteries and cathedrals were carved from wood or stone. This is a human-like face made of branches and leaves that sprout from the nose, mouth and other parts of the face. Flowers and fruits can grow on these branches. Such a face was a decorative architectural ornament. Wood carvers created such images on churches and other buildings.
So far, the earliest example of a green man with leaves growing from his mouth is in Sainte-Abray, Sainte-Hilary-le-Grand, and is dated to 400 AD.

Carvings of the green man in the form of leafy heads or leafy masks had different forms, both naturalistic and decorative. A frequently encountered motif is the image of a person’s face looking out from dense foliage. The heads could have leaves on the hair, as well as green beards and mustaches. Often leaves or shoots of leaves grew from the open mouth, as well as from the nose and eyes. In abstract versions, the carvings, at first glance, seem to be simply stylized leaves, but the face becomes visible only upon careful examination.
The Green Man's face is always male, which also points to Jesus Christ.
There were also images of “green” cats and lions.
Over time, "Green Man" became the name of English pubs and hotels. There are also full-length images of a green man.
Followers of Mary Magdalene began to interpret the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Green Man, as a symbol of rebirth, signifying the beginning of another cycle of plant growth each spring. On tombstones and other monuments, human skulls are sometimes depicted with vines or other plants growing on them - this is a symbol of resurrection. One of these tombstones is located in Shebber, Devon, England. Followers of Mary Magdalene spread the "green man" motif to many cultures around the world, and it has received many variations. The leaf head, dating back to the 8th century, was found in India, specifically in a Jain temple in Rajasthan. Also, figures of the Green Man were found in Nepal and Borneo. Foliated heads from Lebanon and Iraq date from the 2nd century. The foliate head in the Templar church in Jerusalem dates from the 11th century.
