SHE made headlines after shocking the country with her youthful looks, now 70-year-old grandmother-of-four Carolyn Hartz is about to shock the rest of the world.
The mum-of three, who turns 70 in July, has been inundated with media requests since photos emerged of her looking sexy in a bikini two weeks ago.
Hartz will appear on US breakfast television on Friday and has had requests for interviews come in from Brazil, Belgium, Ireland and Korea.
She’s even been notified by her New York based son that she’s trending on social media. “I didn’t even know what that meant,” she laughed. “This has all happened in about eight days. It feels like a whirlwind.”
However the Perth-based Hartz, who is the author of Sugar Free Baking, is taking it all in her stride.
“I’m passionate about my book and what to share it with people,” she said.
Hartz believes the secret to her health and look using age as an excuse. And quitting sugar 28 years ago.
At 55, the sugar-addict gave up the white stuff after finding she was pre-diabetic and switched to using sugar alternative xylitol, which her company now imports.
“I want to inspire people. I know how hard it is to quit sugar. I was a sugar addict. But if I can, so can anyone.”
