Alan Thicke dead: Robin Thicke pays tribute Singer Robin Thicke paid tribute to his father Alan Thicke, calling the late actor “the best man I ever knew.” “My father passed away today. He was the best man I ever knew,” Robin, 39, wrote in a note on Instagram. “The best friend I ever had. Let’s all rejoice and celebrate the joy he brought to every room he was in. We love you, Alan Thicke. Thank you for your love. Love, your grateful son.” Alan died on Tuesday at age 69.
