There's apparently a rather large subset of YouTube videos that are just death compilations from movies...at first I figured that it was some weird morbid curiosity thing, but upon reading the comments apparently some people are turned on by it. Not even mentioning intentionally invoking this with the guro subgenre, vore, etc.
All I have to ask is, why? Why does extreme violence/murder arouse these people?

The same way any fetish starts. One way or another, the people were exposed to certain stimuli that triggered a response in them, be it fascination, curiosity, or trauma, and with time that response got its wires crossed with the part of our brains that tell us to be disgusted vs. turned on. Seeing things related to the fetish causes the body to release feel good chemicals that are pleasurable to the person.
Likewise, there is a power aspect involved with violence. For example, a lot of men enjoy movies with guns and fighting because of testosterone. There is a human aspect that likes to hunt and fight and we often keep that side of ourselves bottled up. That's why we enjoy expressing our violent instincts through safe media outlets. People with a fetish may be taking that need for violent release to the extreme.
Our sexual interests stem from events when we are very young. So maybe something violent happened to them which triggered something in them. Then as time went on it got more and more extreme.
I know that in Japan, there's a lot of heavily sexualised, ultra gore hentai and manga, which is accepted as just a part of a society, that people will be intrigued by it.
Idk, there's a fetish for everything these days. What seems weird or disturbing to you could just be the norm for someone else and vice versa

Now, there is a difference to pedophiles. the good pedophile realizes that his attractions are wrong and seeks help to cure it and has NEVER acted on it. but the bad pedophile does go with his attractions, and decides to act on them, this applies to other fetishes as well.

Animals can't speak and because humans don't understand animals, it's impossible to find if they are consenting or not. Not to mention it's very dangerous and can give you diseases(Human sex can too but having sex with animals is a deadlier risk).

It's one of the few fetishes that you can't do in real life. Only in Deviantart, fanfiction.net and Google images. You'll see fictional characters being swallowed whole and devouring each other. There are soft vore (Where the victim is alive and whole) and hard vore (with gore and killing). It's pretty messed up.
If you know someone who wears glasses, a fedora, likes Sonic the hedgehog, praises Krystal from Star Fox for all the wrong reasons, and suffers from super autism, you get this nasty ass fetish. Some people make videos of this and it's just extremely cringy.
Some of them want to be eaten by real snakes but you can't breath inside a real snake cause they constrict they're prey.
