ResnapBot

ReSnap gives every account a personal Dropbox folder synced both ways with the Workstation. There are two ways to work with it — the 📁 Files Mini App inside the bot, and the real folder on dropbox.com. Both show the same files; pick the tool that fits the job.

How sync works

When you sign up we create a private folder in Dropbox and share it with the email you provided. You'll get a Dropbox invitation to that email — accept it and the folder appears in your own Dropbox (and in the Dropbox app on your computer, if you use one). The Mini App works either way, no invitation needed.

Inside every Workstation the folder is auto-mounted at `C:\Resnap\Workspace\` — no manual "connect Dropbox" step.

Sync is bidirectional and near-real-time:

From your PC → Workstation: drop a scene into the folder (Dropbox app, dropbox.com or the Mini App), and it appears in C:\Resnap\Workspace\ within seconds.
From Workstation → your PC: save a render anywhere under C:\Resnap\Workspace\, and it's in your Dropbox folder shortly after.

Sync status is visible on the active-session card (Files sync: up to date / syncing…) and in the stream overlay — green = up to date, blue = transfer in progress.

📁 Files — the in-bot file manager

Tap 📁 Files in the main menu to open the Files Mini App right inside Telegram. It's a full file manager designed for the render workflow.

What you can do:

Browse files with thumbnails and extension badges. Tabs switch between Personal and Team if you're in a team.
Drill into subfolders with a breadcrumb and back button.
Upload via the + button or drag-and-drop. Whole folders work — the structure is preserved in Dropbox. Up to 100 GB per file. If Telegram backgrounds or the network drops mid-upload, the transfer resumes from where it stopped, no restart.
Rename / Move / Delete single files via the bottom sheet that opens on tap.
Multi-select for batch actions: long-press to enter select mode (or right-click on desktop), tap others to add. Then Delete, Move to..., or Download in the banner.
Inline image preview — tap any PNG, JPEG, GIF, WEBP, AVIF, TIFF, PSD, BMP, TGA, EXR, HDR or DPX card; a full-screen viewer opens. Swipe to flip between images in the folder, tap once to hide chrome, pinch to zoom. Formats a browser can't show (TIFF, PSD, EXR, HDR, DPX…) are converted on our side for the preview — the original file isn't touched.
ZIP download — select multiple files (or a whole folder) and tap Download. The backend packs everything into one archive on the fly and streams it. Up to 500 GB / 50 000 files per archive, folder structure preserved.

Sync pills on files and folders when you have an active rental (a folder shows ON WS only when everything inside it has arrived):

🟢 ON WS — the file is already on the Workstation, ready to use.
🟡 SYNCING — currently transferring (either direction).
⚪ CLOUD — sitting in Dropbox only; the Workstation will pull it down.

A "Synced to Workstation • Xm ago" banner at the top confirms how fresh the sync state is.

👤 My account → real Dropbox

The Mini App handles quick browse, preview and batch ops. But sometimes you want Dropbox's native UI — share a file with a client, leave comments, see version history, restore a deleted file.

For that, 👤 My account → Your Dropbox opens the folder on dropbox.com in your browser. Same folder, Dropbox's native features.

If you're in a team, Team Dropbox appears as a separate link.

Dropbox app on your PC. Accept the shared-folder invitation and the folder syncs straight to your computer — no uploads or downloads by hand, and by far the fastest path for heavy projects. One thing to know: a shared folder counts toward your own Dropbox storage. On the free 2 GB plan a large project may not fit — the Mini App and the dropbox.com link keep working regardless, your storage isn't needed for them.

Team folder

When you create a team via 👥 TeamWork, the bot creates a Team_[name]/ folder in Dropbox and shares it with all team members. The Mini App has separate Personal and Team tabs once you're in a team, and the Workstation mounts both folders.

Renders that should be shared with the team go into the Team folder. Personal work stays in your root.

Auto-cleanup of old files

To keep the folder from growing forever:

Files that haven't been modified for 7 days are deleted from the folder.
Deleted files stay recoverable on dropbox.com (Deleted files) for 30 days, then they're gone for good.
Empty subfolders are left alone — your project structure stays.
During an active rental nothing is touched — files don't disappear while a session is running.
The root folder itself is never touched — otherwise sync would break.

If a file matters long-term, move it out of the ReSnap folder or download it locally.

Common workflows

Starting a project: drop the project folder into your ReSnap folder (Dropbox app or the Mini App). Spin up a Workstation — the folder is already at C:\Resnap\Workspace\ when the session opens.

Quick reference upload: 📁 Files in the menu → + → pick image → on the Workstation within seconds.

Reviewing a render: 📁 Files → tap the file → inline preview → swipe through frames. Tap ⋯ → Download or Open in browser for the original.

Sending a render to a client: 👤 My account → Your Dropbox → hover the file on dropbox.com → Share → Copy link.

Cleaning up: 📁 Files → long-press files → Delete in the banner. Restore within 30 days from dropbox.com → Deleted files if needed.

Limits

Mini App upload: 100 GB per file.
ZIP batch download: 500 GB / 50 000 files per archive.
Auto-cleanup: 7 days without changes → deleted, recoverable on dropbox.com for 30 days.
Team size: up to 4 people sharing one Team folder.
Inline image preview: PNG, JPEG, GIF, WEBP, AVIF, TIFF, PSD, BMP, TGA, EXR, HDR, DPX.
Dropbox app on your PC: the shared folder counts toward your own Dropbox storage.

What still doesn't work

Drag-and-drop into the stream window — no, only via the folder.
File clipboard between your device and the Workstation — text only.
Heavy projects (50 GB+ Houdini scenes) — the Dropbox app on your PC is still the fastest path (it syncs in the background, in parallel). The Mini App is for everything smaller and for quick management.
