Good Graces
Abel Isaiah
When I met you, I was all in. I gave you my heart completely, dreaming of our future together, imagining us growing old and happy. I was sweet and caring, always thinking about us and our future. But I learned quickly not to confuse my kindness with naivety.
You see, I don't waste time on nonsense. If you do something that makes me doubt you, I'm out. It's that simple. I give a lot, but I'm not afraid to walk away if I need to.
One day, I looked at you and thought, "Boy, you say you like being with me, so here's a piece of advice." It's really not complicated. You need to stay in my good graces, or I'll change my mind about you in an instant. No one does it better than me—turning love into cold, hard indifference.
If you mess up, don't be surprised when I don't care anymore. I'll move on and show you just how quickly I can switch from loving you to not giving a damn. And trust me, that transition is swift.
You broke my heart, and I quickly decided to move on. I might tell everyone how you couldn't even handle basic responsibilities. I'll find someone new, someone who's better for me. You'll be nothing but a memory.
So here's the deal: stay on my good side if you want any chance of us working out. Otherwise, don't be surprised when I turn my back and walk away. I've got no problem leaving you behind, and I won't look back.
