Former porn star Amber Rayne has died at her home in Los Angeles, officials have confirmed.
Friends and former colleagues have tweeted tributes to the 31-year-old, who apparently passed away in her sleep at the weekend.
Amber starred in porn films for more than a decade before retiring in 2015.
She was one of a group of women who claim James Deen, another porn star, assaulted them. He denies the allegations.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has told Newsbeat that no formal cause of death has been confirmed.
However, they said her family had been informed.
Ms Rayne, whose real name was Meghan Wren, announced her retirement from the adult entertainment industry last year.
Fellow porn stars tweeted their shock after hearing about her death.
Amber's death comes a few months after she made headlines by accusing fellow porn actor, James Deen, of assaulting her.
Deen's ex-girlfriend and fellow porn star Stoya claimed he'd raped her , tweeting: "I said no, stop, used my safe word. I just can't nod and smile when people bring him up any more."
James Deen told his Twitter followers that he wanted to "assure my friends, fans and colleagues that these allegations are both false and defamatory".
He voluntarily resigned from the board of industry group, the adult performer advocacy committee (Apac), after which more women came forward with allegations against him.
They included accusations from fellow performer Tori Lux, and Amber Rayne, who claimed he'd punched her in the face and made her bleed so much she had to stop filming - something he denied.

A Russian porn star broke both her legs as she escaped two thugs who brutally raped and assaulted her after luring her to their flat with a business deal.
The 22-year-old adult actress had entered the flat after being invited by the two men to discuss a possible new production, but was attacked and jumped out of a window to get away.
The woman, who works under the stage name Lola Taylor, was found bleeding and with torn clothes by a man walking his dog in Yasenovo, Moscow.

'Lola Taylor' had agreed to meet the men for an interview to talk about the film, but after she arrived, the men set upon her and proceeded to rape her in an ordeal that lasted several hours.
She eventually managed to escape by jumping from the third floor balcony where she was found by stunned neighbour, Blasius Vinogradov, 54, walking his dog.
He told local TV: 'I was just minding my own business when this blonde girl with torn clothes and bleeding mouth hit the ground.
'She was unconscious and it was clear she had broken both her legs.
'I didn't know what was going on, but I knew it wasn't good and immediately phoned the police and an ambulance.'

The woman, who is a former librarian, was taken to the emergency room of a nearby hospital.
A police spokesman said: 'She was in a bad way and had been subjected to hours of rape and abuse prior to the fall.
'When we arrested the men they denied it until we found evidence of the crime across the apartment.
'They had tried clearing up the blood but had not yet disposed of her ripped clothing.'
The two men, Dmitry Kosenkov, 30 and Maksim Pilipenko, 33, have been arrested and face up to 30 years in jail.
The two men were ordered to be detained for three months before the trial.

Goldie Jeanne Hawn ( Washington , 21 de novembro de 1945 ) é uma atriz e produtora de cinema norte-americana . Premiada com o Oscar de melhor atriz coadjuvante, é mais conhecida pelas comédias que estrelou nos anos 1970 e 80.
Hawn nasceu em Washington, D.C. , filha de Laura (nascida Steinhoff; 27 de novembro de 1913 - 27 de novembro de 1993), dona de uma joalheria e de uma escola de dança, e de Edward Rutledge Hawn [ 1 ] [ 2 ] (28 de setembro de 1908 - 7 de junho de 1982), um músico de banda que tocou em grandes eventos em Washington . Seu nome é uma homenagem à tia de sua mãe. Nos anos 1970 e 80, Goldie se consagraria como atriz e produtora, primeiro com o papel principal do thriller de estreia de Steven Spielberg no cinema, Louca Escapada / Asfalto Quente e depois, principalmente, em comédias rasgadas ou dramáticas como Shampoo , Golpe Sujo , Alta Tensão / Na Corda Bamba , A Recruta Benjamim e A Morte Lhe Cai Bem , também produzido por ela e que lhe deu uma indicação ao Oscar de melhor atriz de 1980.
Nos anos 1990, sua carreira entrou num compasso mais lento e os sucessos de bilheteria foram menores, o maior deles em O Clube das Desquitadas / O Clube das Divorciadas com Bette Midler e Diane Keaton , em que ela também mostra seus dotes de cantora no álbum com a trilha sonora do filme.
Depois do fiasco de público e crítica de Ricos, Bonitos e Infiéis / Mistérios do Sexo Oposto , seu filme de 2000 com Warren Beatty e Diane Keaton, Goldie fez Doidas Demais / As Manas do Rock em 2002, seu último trabalho no cinema até o momento.
Mesmo judia por parte de mãe, Hawn se converteu ao budismo nos anos 1970 e pratica a religião , tendo criado seus filhos dentro das filosofias judaica e budista. Não abre mão de suas raízes judaicas e se descreve como meio judia e meio budista, visitando a Índia anualmente e viajando a Israel , como uma demonstração de identificação com seu povo e com as duas religiões.
Hawn estudou meditação. Em uma entrevista de 2012, ela declarou: "Não me considero budista . Nasci judia e considero isso minha religião ". Ela também declarou: "Não é a ideia de uma religião em particular que é importante; é o desenvolvimento de uma vida espiritual". [ 13 ]
Hawn apoia a comunidade LGBT . Falando sobre nações, como a Nigéria e outras que criminalizaram os gays, ela denunciou essas leis, afirmando: “Esta é a desumanidade do homem para o homem, de primeira ordem”. [ 14 ]
Goldie foi casada entre 1969 e 1976 com Gus Trikonius, de quem se divorciou para casar com Bill Hudson do trio musical Hudson Brothers , e de quem se divorciou em 1980.
