To be truthful, unless it's in sushi form, I am not a seafood kind of person. In fact, I usually avoid it at all costs. So I was not that excited to learn that for lunch in Destin my family planned to go to a seafood restaurant. We were in Destin for my cousin's wedding, but I still thought I would be able to avoid it. I'm really glad we didn't. This place has turned me into a seafood-loving girl. From the scallop appetizer, to the shrimp, to the excellent seafood gumbo, at one point (before my stomach felt incredibly full) I wanted to eat all the food that restaurant had to offer. I would eat just about anything they put on a plate at Dewey's, and I highly recommend it for any seafood or non-seafood lover. Great service, excellent views of the harbor and superb food -- what more could you want?
Good service-I really liked the Mahi-blackend with a greek touch-My husband and son had the fried fish platter-very casual place-waiter was cordial-I wish we could have gone there in warmer weather to see more of the view- We would go back-really put us in theh Destin mood-
This place is a dump..The food is nasty. Go to other places.overpriced garbage.everyone in our party could not believe people recommend this place it must be a joke.
Enjoyed the great views of the Destin Harbor. The food was good but the service was a little on the not so good side. It could have been because my wife and I shared a meal. Now that we are older we are not able to. Eat as much as we did when we were younger. We noted that after we had ordered the attitude changed with the server. Normally we do not get this with male waiters so was uprisen.
Wow, we tried this place because a sales lady at Belk in Destin recommended it & we were so glad we did. It's on the harbor, & the inside of the restaurant is designed just like the inside of a house. It's like being at a friend or relative's house for dinner. It's an open floor plan with sectioned off rooms, but you can see all through the restaurant--pretty neat. The food was great, I had the blackened red snapper & it was sooo good! The staff are very friendly, & the atmosphere is like being among a house full of friends. This is the best restuarant I've eaten at in Destin. Love it!
