SuperViral - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SuperViral (the "App", "Service", "we",

"us") handles information in connection with your use of the App. By

using the App you consent to the practices described here.

1. WHO WE ARE AND SCOPE

SuperViral is an iOS application that analyses short-form social-media

videos using third-party AI services. This Policy covers data collected

by the App. It does NOT cover data practices of third-party platforms

(TikTok, Apple, etc.) or of websites we link to.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We have designed the App to collect the minimum information needed to

operate the Service. We do NOT require you to create a named account and

we do NOT ask for your real name, email, phone number, or address.

2.1. Anonymous identifier. On first launch, Firebase Authentication

assigns your device a random anonymous user ID (UID). The UID is

a string generated on Firebase's servers; it is not linked to your

Apple ID, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier.

The UID is used to scope your data so only your device can access

it.

2.2. Videos you upload. When you tap "Analyze Video", the selected video

is re-encoded on your device and uploaded to Firebase Storage under

a path scoped to your anonymous UID. The file is then forwarded to

our analysis backend, which sends it to Google's Gemini API for

analysis. After analysis completes, the App deletes the uploaded

video from Firebase Storage. Video files are NOT retained after

analysis.

2.3. Analysis results. The text/JSON output produced by the analysis is

stored in Firebase Firestore under your anonymous UID and cached

locally on your device. You can delete any analysis at any time

from within the App.

2.4. Subscription data. If you purchase a subscription, Apple processes

the payment. RevenueCat records the transaction identifiers

associated with your Apple ID (not visible to us) and with a

RevenueCat "App User ID" that we do not set. We see only whether

your device currently has an active subscription.

2.5. Diagnostic data. Standard error logs and crash reports may be

collected by Apple, Firebase Crashlytics (if enabled), and Vercel.

These logs may include technical information (device model, OS

version, IP address, timestamps) but do not include your videos

or analysis output.

2.6. Cookies. The App itself does not use cookies. Web pages linked

from the App may.

3. WE DO NOT COLLECT

We do NOT collect:

- your real name, email, phone number, home address;

- contacts, calendar, photos library beyond the video you actively

select for analysis;

- location data;

- health, financial, or precise advertising identifiers;

- social-media credentials.

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use information only to:

(a) operate and provide the Service (store and display your analyses);

(b) process analysis requests through our AI providers;

(d) maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug errors;

(e) comply with legal obligations.

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do NOT use

your videos or analysis output to train AI models.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

We rely on the following service providers. Each has its own privacy

policy.

These providers act as our data processors or joint controllers to the

extent required by applicable law. Data may be transferred to and

processed in the United States or other countries where these providers

operate servers.

6. DATA RETENTION

- Uploaded video files: deleted from Firebase Storage immediately after

analysis, on a reasonable-efforts basis.

- Analysis results: retained until you delete them from within the App

or clear analysis history from Settings.

- Anonymous UID and subscription records: retained for as long as the

App is installed on your device, and for a reasonable period

afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations.

- Diagnostic logs: retained according to each provider's default

retention (typically up to 90 days).

7. CHILDREN

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly

collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have

inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete

it.

8. SECURITY

We use industry-standard technical and organisational safeguards

(encryption in transit via HTTPS, access-controlled storage, scoped

anonymous authentication, least-privilege backend credentials). No

method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot

guarantee absolute security.

9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Data processed by our providers may be stored and processed in

jurisdictions outside your country, including the United States. By

using the App, you consent to such transfers. Where required, our

providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

10. INDEPENDENCE AND NON-AFFILIATION

We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok,

ByteDance, Meta, Instagram, YouTube, or any other social-media platform.

The App analyses content you voluntarily provide and does not access any

social-media account on your behalf. It does not scrape or harvest data

from any social-media platform.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be

announced in-app or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued

use of the App after the change means you accept the updated Policy.
