Stephanie Bond has written a very good serialized novel titled Coma Girl. Parts One through Five were posted as daily serialized installments on her website (and other places) free for anyone to read. Starting on July 1st, 2016, a post was delivered to the website which was visible for 24 hours. Successive posts replaced each other, one by one. Readers could purchase the month-long edition from Amazon, or read it free at Kindle Unlimited (KU) following a schedule determined by Stephanie Bond. I found this to be a great way to encourage reluctant readers. The secrets revealed by Coma Girl that she overheard from her visitors were surprising, sometimes shocking, and captured reader interest. I pre-ordered this installment (Part Six), received it on 02 December, and looked forward to seeing how Bond would wrap up the series as December 31st was planned to be the final installment. Part six did not disappoint. There weren’t the surprises of the first five parts. Reader expectation was that all the mysteries would be resolved in some way. That happened. It was satisfactory. But the surprises couldn’t deliver the punch of the first five parts. It is as if Stephanie Bond had painted herself into a corner. She needed to bring everything together and she did. But the six parts of the novel ended with a whimper rather than some triumphant shout. At the end of November, Coma Girl woke up. It wasn’t a complete 100% fully capable woman that woke up. Dormant muscles had to be reminded of their functions. She had to relearn how to talk. The central theme of part six is how Marigold would deal with all her visitors. Both her mom and dad had revealed huge secrets during their visits to Marigold. Each thought they were talking to themselves, a form of confession. They hadn’t realized Coma Girl could hear everything perfectly. Each of her visitors will try to determine how much Marigold had heard or remembered of what they had said. This is the dominant theme and story of part six. Each supporting character will ask the same question as it relates to their personal revelations. Duncan may be the most important character as far as Marigold is concerned. He has abandoned an earlier fiancé, acknowledged that he is the father of Marigold’s baby and declared his readiness to marry her. But it is not that simple and Marigold still has questions. After Marigold id released from the hospital, there will be substantial medical bills. How can she pay them? Sydney, Marigold’s sister, is not available for help as she is in a hospital herself. Previously collected money from social media site publicity has disappeared All previous problems characters had, those noted in reviews for the first five parts, must be solved. The fact that they will be solved is not a spoiler. There are surprises in the ways some of them are solved. Many readers will be happy that there are no further cliffhangers. I was unhappy to see the series end. The good thing is that a writer with this much talent will produce more interesting work. I will be waiting to read it.

Well I have been reading Coma Girl since the very first book was released. Each book goes way too quickly. I think it is a great format and a fascinating idea. To say that I waited patiently for the next installment each month would be a total lie. I couldn't stand waiting...I wanted to know what happened next and right away! But now that it is over, I wish it wasn't. I think that is an indication of a good book~one that you don't want to end! But wow! What an ending. Each time someone asked Marigold if she heard them when she was in a coma, I wanted her to say heck yes! Or I remember what you did or something so those people would realize how badly they had acted... But not sweet Marigold. 6 months in a coma, forced to listen and never able to respond or see, she remained a wonderful sister, daughter, friend, and acquaintance! No criticism or condemnation. In fact, she gives her sister a chance by sacrificing her financial future. I liked how she accepted help from her friend Rosemary and never said anything about missing things that had been sent to her. She was happy to share. She realizes how lucky she really is, and that is the best lesson anyone can ever learn in life! The author kept relating the good and the bad in Marigold's life. She didn't make everything ok once the pregnancy was discovered. She didn't make Duncan immediately return to Marigold when he came back in the country. I admire her ability to tell the story and not rush to the end. But I really admire the zinger that she dealt Marigold and the readers at the last possible moment! I didn't see that coming!!! I have to recommend this series of books highly. Every possible emotion is encountered and dealt with within the six months timeline. It is a story from start to finish that will stay with you for a very long time. This happens to be one of my favorite authors, but this story is definitely one of her best! Read it!!!! NOW!~what are you waiting for?

I don't mind the serialized format. Its a quick read with a couple of quirky twists. Ms. Bond tells a believable story with an "all the feels" ending.

Really liked the main character so kept reading

Really liked the main character so kept reading. Not really her best work & frankly I think this was written for her sake. As a big fan of her series about the dead bodies (so long ago I can't even remember the central characters) I wish she'd devoted her time to getting the next book out. Loosing the rhythm of reading about them is frustrating.

Pretty cool series

Short bites of very readable stories. Not what I normally read but glad I took a chance. Interesting the way life works.

Disapointing

Anti climactic ending...too perfect to read as believable...but disapointing. Wish I hadn't wasted my time on the series. I expected a better ending. Disapointing.

Stephanie Bond was several years into a corporate computer programming career when an instructor in her evening MBA program remarked she had a flair for writing and encouraged her to submit a project to academic journals. Stephanie adds, "But instantly I thought 'I wonder if I could write a romance novel?' "
She spent every spare moment the next couple of years writing and submitting manuscripts before selling her romantic comedy IRRESISTIBLE? to Harlequin Enterprises. After selling ten projects, Stephanie walked away from her corporate career to write commercial fiction full time. To date, she's published over 100 romance and mystery projects with Harlequin, Random House, St. Martin's Press, HarperCollins, and more recently, under her own imprint.
Stephanie's independently published romantic comedy STOP THE WEDDING!, a Kindle bestseller in three languages, is now a Hallmark Channel movie! Check local TV/DVR guides for encore airings.

WARNING: SPOILERS. There’s a scene in Wednesday night’s episode of Girls involving a penis that has everyone talking.
So we need to talk about the final scene in Wednesday night’s episode of Girls , which involves a penis. A large, erect, penis.
Girls is no stranger to nudity. Its creator and lead star Lena Dunham, who plays the consistently annoying Hannah Horvath, gets her kit off in almost every episode.
The HBO hit has been praised for promoting body diversity and for showing female bodies doing normal everyday things — like eating, sleeping and showering — and not just having sex.
But while we’ve seen multiple full-frontal shots of Hannah and Jessa, played by Jemima Kirke, we’re yet to be treated to a penis shot. Until now.
Matthew Rhys — you might recognise him from The Americans — plays Chuck Palmer, a wildly successful writer who confronts Hannah about a piece she writes about him for a niche feminist website.
She accuses him of sexually assaulting several college students, and so Chuck invites Hannah over to his very nice apartment to discuss the allegations.
Almost the entire episode is the back and forth between these two insufferable characters, where they discuss consent, public shaming and white, male privilege. It’s an incredible, thoughtful episode with a killer script.
But the most shocking moment comes at the end, when Chuck and Hannah lay down on his bed together, fully clothed. Then Chuck just whips it out and lays his penis on Hannah. After a couple of long, awkward seconds, she touches it.
It’s a creepy power play, made clear by the camera lingering on Chuck’s smug, sinister smile as Hannah leaves the room, mortified and angry.
Leaving aside all the think-piece potential in this scene, there’s one huge, burning question: Was the penis real or fake?
It’s a prosthetic penis, according to the episode’s director Richard Shepard, who said it was actually quite difficult to find the right prop for the scene.
“I have a picture of a box of penises! It’s actually very hard to find a not-fully-erect dildo because, usually, they’re fully erect. What we wanted was a three-quarters-erect penis. It’s actually much harder to find,” he told Vulture .
“We ended up getting it from a medical supply company for people who have surgery — gender-reassignment surgery or other surgeries — and they make these semi-erect penises.
“Our prop people came with a box of penises, and one day at lunch Lena and [co-creator] Jenni Konner and I got to pick Matthew Rhys’s penis for him. He, of course, had final penis approval. It looks pretty darn good, doesn’t it? It doesn’t look fake.”
Rhys said he was given the option to pick which prosthetic would be used, but he left that to the producers.
“They kindly offered, and I said, ‘No, thank you. You choose’,” he told Vulture . And he was given very detailed instructions about how the scene would play out.
“Richard [the director] was very specific about it, actually,” Rhys said.
“He said, ‘This is what I want you to do. You turn,
