Can someone explain the financial benefit of doxxing these women on PornWikiLeaks? It seems if the GirlsDoPorn employees simply kept the names and addresses to themselves, the case would have been alot more difficult for the plaintiffs. Were they publishing these women's names just to be huge dicks?
I guess? Their motivation does seem a little bizarre:
Before long, their names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, social media profiles, and their family's social media profiles were shared online on a website aimed at revealing the identities of adult actresses called PornWikiLeaks.com, which the defendants allegedly had administrative control of from November 2015 to June 2016.
From the facts alleged, it looks like PWL was essentially a front for them, and not really a 3rd party. It appears that it was essentially a blackmail scheme in response to get the plaintiffs to drop their legal case against the company.
This business is vile, and it would be nice if something bad happened to the people who run it. However, there are legal and social conventions that make this exercise possible. Note, please, that I am not advocating outlawing all those things, only pointing out their role in the situation.

Age doesn't generally make people more legally sophisticated unless their circumstances lead them to learn - usually those circumstances are lessons learned the hard way.
Let's ignore the broader sexual ethics questions concerning the morality of watching porn for now and just focus on epistemology. How do you know, if you're watching porn, if you're watching someone being raped or not? Or, if you don't think it's rape for whatever reason, that you're watching a woman who has been coerced into having sex? Or, if for some reason that you're willing to overlook that, that you're willing to sit there and masturbate to a woman who is experiencing pain and is suffering greatly?
I find it troubling that, in many cases, you cannot distinguish the willing from the coerced. Even for things where it might seem obvious on the face of things that there's no coercion, there may be underlying factors that you can never know about and you'll be watching someone who is a victim. I can imagine a scenario where a cam girl has a pimp (however likely or unlikely) and is forced to perform online because that's how she earns her bread.
Do these epistemic problems trouble anyone else?
How do you know that when you have sex, your partner consents; that the partner engages in the activity because of a belief that you are attractive and that copulating with you would be a good thing?
Can you eliminate various sorts of guilt as causes? Pity? Fear you have unknowingly engendered? Intoxication that lowers inhibitions without hinting at incapacitation? Mutual intoxication?
I don't know that it is ever possible to know that sex is purely uncoerced.

They are troubling, sorry you’re getting downvoted. You raise good points, especially since most people probably spend more time and energy ethically sourcing their meat products than their pornography. I think most porn viewers have to lean on their willful suspension of disbelief, except the viewers who might specifically not be bothered by questions of consent.
I think broadly speaking it doesn't really matter. Most porn is made by actors. Most people watching porn understand this. Porn itself is fantasy, not reality, and any incidental reality of the situation doesn't really impinge upon the fantasy because of that. The whole point is the fantasy nature decouples sexuality from ethical concerns. People generally don't want their porn fantasies to be real because then it would create the ethical questions that you raise.

Yes it's sick but if this case wins sounds like the end of porn gets its money thru amateurs no offense to sex workers especially females but people want new content to keep the imagination working. But there are studios out there that put proper focus on treating their actors and actresses ethically. Forced labor is part of many industries, including food production and electronics manufacturing. How many people post "using smartphones promotes human trafficking" from their iPhone? I haven't seen any, yet. But, porn is special, isn't it? People don't just think sex workers need to be protected from exploitation. People think sex workers need to be protected from working in order to prevent exploitation.
This isn't a whataboutism. I'm not saying we should ignore the problems with porn because other industries are also flawed. I'm not saying that you're a hypocrite for not holding the same stance towards modern slavery in your food or electronics as you do in your porn. I'm asking you to consider what the difference is. Because I suspect that if you think about it, you'll realize that the difference has a lot to do with attitudes towards sex, and protecting women from it in order to prevent women from having it.
I think there's an underlying problem in the discussion around sex trafficking in porn. I think that problem is that people dislike porn (and sex work in general). I think that people use sex trafficking as an excuse to clamp down on porn/sex work, instead of working to reduce or eliminate it from the industry. This is visible in things like SESTA. SESTA is a law which was sold as a means of reducing sex trafficking via the internet, but wound up pushing non-exploited sex workers back onto the streets. Real women have actually been murdered because they lost the ability to coordinate and screen clients via the internet.
tl;dr - it's more complicated than "Watching porn promotes human trafficking," and we should think carefully about the relationship between porn and human trafficking. Not thinking carefully about it comes with a literal body count.
