The typical reaction a football superstar gets when approached by a mere mortal with a phone in hand is usually a request for a selfie, that's just how it goes for the elite ballers (and Mathieu Flamini).
So when an English clubber walked up to Arsenal duo Mesut Özil and Mathieu Flamini with her phone in hand, the two were probably getting ready to give their most genuinely inauthentic smiles for yet another fan.
But, since an article is being written about this, you can probably sense that there's a twist coming up.
The girl had no idea who Özil (how?!) and Flamini (more understandable) were and was actually asking them to take a picture of her.
According to the Reddit post that spawned all of this, she was none too pleased when she got her phone back with a picture of two seemingly random dudes posing for an adorable selfie together.
There are about six thousand 'Özil assist' puns to make here but it's probably for the best that I avoid stooping to that level.
But needless to say, the next time that girl checks her phone and then, maybe, scrolls through Twitter or Reddit, she'll realize who it was that assisted her.
