A 28-year-old teacher from Midwest City, Okla., is under investigation after authorities allege she sent naked pictures and an inappropriate video of herself to a 16-year-old student.
PEOPLE confirms that there is a warrant out for the arrest of Ivy Reneau, a teacher at Midwest City Middle School. According to court documents obtained by KFOR-TV , Reneau met the teen at soccer practice and "heard rumors that he liked her and wanted to watch her run."
Reneau was a middle school soccer coach; the boy was in high school. According to KFOR-TV, both the middle school and high school soccer teams practiced on the same field.
The court documents allege that Reneau then added the teen on Snapchat.
The investigation began after a faculty member overheard the teen telling his friends that "he had been sent nude pictures by a teacher," the documents allege. The faculty member reported the incident to the school administration.
According to KFOR-TV, the court documents allege that Reneau sent the teen "a picture of herself topless" and another photo of her "posing in front of the mirror sideways" with no clothes on. She also allegedly sent an inappropriate video.
After the photos were sent, police allege the student threatened the teacher, saying "he could ruin her career over the pictures." He allegedly told the teacher to send him money via CashApp. She sent him $120, according to court documents.
When police interrogated Reneau, she allegedly told them that "she knew it was wrong to do this with a student, but she thought he was 18 years old," court records allege. She denied ever having a physical relationship with the teen.
In a statement, the Midwest City School District said that they are cooperating in the investigation.
"District officials were notified of an alleged relationship between a Mid-Del staff member and a student," the statement reads. "We reported the information to law enforcement so that they could begin an investigation. The staff member is no longer employed by Mid-Del Schools, and we have worked closely with the family of the student in the wake of this accusation. We will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities."
Reneau has not been taken into custody. PEOPLE confirms that she faces one felony charge of using technology to engage in communication for sexual or prurient interest with a minor. She has not yet entered a plea in the case, and it's unclear if she has retained an attorney authorized to speak on her behalf.
PEOPLE's call to a number registered to Reneau was unanswered.

The teacher was also accused of engaging in sexually explicit conversations through social media with the 17-year-old pupil
A TEACHER has been accused of sending naked selfies and sexually explicit texts to a teenage student, according to police.
Michelina Aichele, 29, allegedly told the 17-year-old she fantasised about him while pleasuring herself, investigators said in their affidavit.
Police in New Jersey said she demanded to know his penis size in a series of explicit messages, including one that suggested she wanted visual proof.
They said that after the pair made contact through social media things started to take a more sordid turn when Aichele sent messages of a graphic nature, including nude images.
Authorities said she was arrested on October 5 and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, reports Associated Press.
The pupil alleged that the Montgomery Township High School teacher engaged in sexual conversations with him “through social media sites and email” over several months.
Somerset County prosecutors said the Montgomery Township School District contacted police on October 4.
Montgomery officials declined to comment and a phone number listed in Aichele’s name was not in service. It is unclear whether she has a lawyer.
She is being held in custody at the Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing, said the Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson and Montgomery Township police spokesman Thomas Wain.
The Bridgewater Courier News said Aichele worked as an English teacher at the school, earning £53,600 ($70,306).
And her LinkedIn profile states she has been teaching English at the high school since April 2012.
Superintendent of Schools Nancy H. Gartenberg said in a letter to the Montgomery Township School Community: “This teacher was suspended and removed from the high school on October 4, 2018 while the investigation was ongoing.
"The teacher's suspension shall be continued pending a resolution of the criminal charges.
"And the district will continue to cooperate with the Somerset County Prosecutor and the Montgomery Township Police Department."
The letter also said the education district is providing counselling and support services for students and staff members.
The County Prosecutor said that after officials were told about the alleged sexually explicit communications between a teacher and a male student, police interviewed the teen.
The Bridgewater Courier News said he told the investigators he had allegedly received nude photos from Aichele over a period of several months.
He also provided details of alleged sexually explicit conversations that he and Aichele engaged in through social media and emails.
According to an affidavit of probable cause obtained by New Jersey 101.5 , a girl alerted school officials on October 4 to an apparent "inappropriate sexual relationship" between the teacher and student, who had been Aichele's class for the past two years.
Investigators wrote in their report: "While collecting her belongings the defendant made statements about students possibly gaining access to her cellphone and sending nude photos of herself previously saved onto her phone to themselves."
The station said both were quizzed by school administrators and both initially denied any relationship.
But the boy later told cops that between February and April he received four nude pictures from the teacher.
The station said he also told police Aichele sent him messages on Snapchat saying she thought about him while masturbating, investigators said in their affidavit.
School officials provided email communications between the two, using the institution's email addresses.
In one of the messages, Aichele "appears to discuss with the victim the size of the victim's penis," and also "seems to suggest an interest in seeing it," the papers allege.

TAMPA, Fla. – A 52-year-old teacher was sentenced to 15 years in prison for secretly recording videos of students as they changed clothes in his fashion design classroom at a Florida high school.
Mark William Ackett also must remain a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.
"There’s so much suffering in this case by so many different people due to the actions of the defendant. There’s very little I can say today to make any of that better," Hillsborough County Judge Laura Ward said at his sentencing on Monday.
Ackett occasionally met the gaze of former students attending the hearing in a Tampa courtroom. He later read an apology in a clear, steady voice, the Tampa Bay Times reported . During the two-hour hearing he bowed his head as friends, neighbors and his wife of nearly 30 years begged for leniency.
But prosecutors pointed out that the 324 counts of video voyeurism Ackett pleaded guilty to in April call for roughly 366 years in prison, the newspaper reported.
Defense attorneys had asked for no more than three years, plus probation, promising that Ackett would continue seeking treatment for a diagnosed "voyeuristic disorder."
Ackett sobbed as his victims spoke to the judge.

Eva Applebee, a longtime Bloomingdale High School teacher, spoke of the shock and disbelief she felt when she learned she was the only adult in the videos.
Prosecutors said Ackett, after returning to Bloomingdale as the girl's track coach and fashion design teacher in 2017, collected, cropped and edited hundreds of nude and partially-nude videos and photos of 125 victims changing in the fashion design class dressing room.
Applebee told the court it felt like she had been punched in the stomach when she learned that his cameras were in the classroom they shared. The students now call the classroom the "room of horrors," she said.
"What Mark did was not an isolated lapse of judgement but calculated and deliberate criminal acts," Applebee said. "Mark groomed and chose his victims - gaining their trust and then taking advantage of them."
A parent whose daughter was 15 when she was recorded changing clothes told the judge she can't trust the school system any more.
"I can’t trust the teachers or the coaches, I can’t trust anyone anymore," she said.
Several students said they struggle with depression and anxiety. Another went from being a standout on the girl’s track team to quitting completely. One victim told the judge she spent her father's birthday sitting with investigators and identifying pictures of her naked body.
Those who came to court to speak on behalf of Ackett described him as a good neighbor, a good coach, a volunteer for his kids’ marching band, a trusted Sunday school teacher and a loving husband, the Times reported.
"I wish I could go back and change what I did, or do something to make amends but I know that I cannot," Ackett said to the court. "I feel especially ashamed of what I did because you treated me with such care. Some of you confided in me your fears and problems, and many of you consider my classroom a safe place to escape the problems that you face. I will never forgive myself for turning something that should have been a fond memory for you into something that you would rather forget."
Prosecutors said Ackett was caught when a 17-year-old student noticed a box on a shelf with a light coming from it as she changed clothes. Inside it, she found a cellphone that appeared to be recording. She told the school's principal who called the sheriff's office.
"He is an excellent actor, having fooled us and his very own family for years," Applebee said. "Acting like he cared, like he respected us. But instead we found out it was a big act."
