This is something I use with all full spankings I give.
Do others of you use it?
Always interesting to see if some of old practices are still in good use.
It definitely helps them to stay focused and to not wriggle and squirm too much.
We have used both ginger and a butt plug on our daughter. In the diaper position she is able to hold either one in while she is getting a whipping. We have used baby oil on her bottom as,well. All these thing will amplify the painful lesson. Once a week she gets an enemas cleansing as well.
Jelena,i buy fresh ginger roots every week with my main shopping so at least one if the girls are with me and it’s one of there jobs to select the softer fresh roots each week.
I trim into shape with a small sharp knife which I’d a rounded ended piece that will gominsude tgats about 2 inch long and about an inch thick though depends how thick I feel I want at the time.
Make sure you skin off the outer skin plus the membrane skin too so you can see and feel the juice.a cheese grater can bring the juice to the surface of slightly older ginger.
When shaping after the 1 and half to 2 inch piece that will fit inside you make it a bit narrower like a neck which helps prevent her pushing it out then bigger again for the piece that stays outside the bum making it easy enough to take a hold of to remove.
Icy hot adds to it.. unlike Ginger - that mainly burns when you clench.. I never really used to buy ginger, so i used the old methods..
Kind of the same concept as a punishment enema..
As you say - diaper position works well, and adds to the exposure they feel..
I've been punished by mom and dad as long as I lived at their place. Dad used to say: "As long as you put your feet under my table, you will obey my rules!" Sounds fair, doesn't it?
I left home and married my husband when I turned 21. I guess I got my last figging punishment from dad when I was 20. And yes: I still have a good relationship to my parents.
I usually use a strong menthol cream.

There was a time - and interested to learn how it manifested for folks, when they became adults - but as early as the 60's and 70's - figging, enemas, punishment enemas - were a part of punishment.. more designed for exposure and humiliation..
For Janice - the link is that absorption of faecal toxins into the bloodstream affects the functioning of the brain (as well as many other parts of the body) and this leads to bizarre/erratic behavior. More on this in the writings of Dr Kurt Woeller and Dr Norman Walker amongst others.
As a child I did get the treatment many many times, without spankings involved, but the "punishment ritual" was very common between ages 5 and 9 approx.
BTW: I recently auditioned (on myself) "glycerin suppository dipped in ginger paste before insertion" - worth trying, it'll leave the "miscreant" sore, exhausted and sorry, as well as empty
You can get plugs all different sizes.
That's great that you still have a good relationship with parents. My brother and I do as well and we were both whipped and had ginger and plugs until we left home. I rather think our parents enjoyed those times but we still love them.

With the icy-hot, it would burn at the maximum right away, but there would never be any more later. It's all on the surface.
I always think of the "Red Hot Chili Peppers." In England, apparently, a pepper is called a "chilli" (with two l's). And these do get used, I am told, as a substitute for mouth-soaping, or for either butt or front.
With ginger, or horseradish, or whatever plant we use, there would be more "juice" in the plant that might keep coming out over time.
The spankee would be pumping the juice out of the plant, every time they squeeze it. So it would not be all at the beginning. It would sting more if they squeeze it more, and less if they squeeze it less.
Also, how about a comparison between different plants? How about onions and garlic, etc?
Just about everyone has onions in their refrigerator most of the time. Why can't onions be used? Because of the way onions are layered, we would have to know how to cut it for maximum effect. But no matter what we do, we have to know HOW.
Also, how about using a string to keep it in? Why should it be up to the spankee to keep it in, when maybe they can't anyhow?
If you want a reason for punishing, you can always give them a difficult challenge. But if you want that spicy plant to stay in that butt, then shouldn't you tie it so it stays in?
Szistu - that is correct. I use a standard butt plug.. Even size can be used for punishment. .This is not a new punishment.. Some cultures use ginger.. I have a hispanic friend who use a similar punishment called "Peppering" where the actually insert a cut pepper for a punishment.. similar to external punishments like prickly leaves used for whipping.

When i used ginger - i get a bigger piece, and then carve it so it is as large and round for the top and then taper the bottom to have a "neck" and then larger end. I try to carve it like a butt plug.. That way, when you insert it, it "pops" and and cannot fall out.. altho it as Melanie described, if you make it easy to fall out, then you have another reason to add more swats..
It is very effective as the burn is just another layer to the punishment - hopefully impressing them not to repeat what they did..

From the age of 16 or 17 years on I got a figging several times. This is a rather old-fashioned way of punishment, which was still quite common in the countryside though. Sometimes, when a severe punishment seemed appropriate, my dad would take a piece of ginger after a good hard spanking, peel it and shove it up my butt hole before sending me to the corner for about 15 minutes. He always warned me not to let it slip out.
But it ALWAYS slipped out after a few minutes! Of course, this meant an additional punishment. First, he fixed the ginger root in place with two strings. For this purpose, he drilled a hole in the outer end with a metal spike and threaded through an approximately 50 cm (1.6 ft) long packing cord. He tied a second piece of packing cord around my hip, just below the bellybutton. Now he shoved the piece of ginger back where it was, led the string attached to it through the front and back of the crack, tightened it and knotted it to the other string in front and behind. This way, the plug could neither get in completely nor out anymore. I was prepared now for the follow up spanking with the strap. Afterwards again 15 minutes cornertime with the ginger piece fixed inside. Boy, that really burned like fire!
I was REALLY trying to keep the ginger root in at first time. But whatever I did, whether I clenched or not, I never managed to keep it in place. To be honest, I've always thought it couldn't be done at all. I thought it was a somewhat sneaky method of my father to create a reason for another butt-whipping. It was awful to feel exactly how the piece of ginger slipped out slowly and unstoppably and to know only too well what that means!
I am all the more surprised that it seems to be possible. Perhaps my father chose a little too thin a piece of ginger to keep it inside. Although, it was about an inch thick as well, I'd say. But I think he didn't use the trick with the "neck". Maybe even on purpose? However, the method with the two strings works very well, too. And the rough string in my crevice added to the inconvenience of course.
I have not yet applied this punishment to my girls. I think they're still a little young for that. But in a few years, this might be an option if I have to punish them impressively.

Do these plugs come in sets of different sizes? How small is the smallest? I mean, at what age would you think is the youngest to use one of these plugs?
Or is there a way to make one?
I am confused over the "clenching" of muscles. Some say that diaper position is better BECAUSE the muscles are clenched, and the point of figging is to say it's better with the muscles NOT clenched.
But wouldn't the icy-hot overwhelm every other punishment?
I mean, the point of the icy-hot is to feel the burn of the icy-hot. I don't see how it could be felt any less, by the spankee's own efforts.
