Gina is largely credited with bringing women’s MMA into the mainstream. We have seen her great looks splashed all over magazines while she has realized her Hollywood ambitions. Gina Carano set the stage for the likes of Rousey, Holly Holm and several other women who dared dream of pursuing greatness in MMA.
Gina competed in the first-ever state sanctioned female fight with World Extreme Fighting in Nevada. These days it is common to see multiple women’s matches on any given event card.
