SEX Education's Gillian Anderson shocked fans by sharing a VERY rude snap of a humble pepper.
The actress, 52 - who plays sex therapist Dr jean Milburn in the hit Netflix show - made her fans giggle with her latest picture.
It showed an orange bell pepper, but when it was cut in half the owner found a naughty secret.
The growth inside appeared to look like a man's privates.
Gillian captioned the pic: "That’s one hot pepper!"
Fans were hysterical over the pic, with one person saying: "GILLIAN STOP" and another simply: "GILLIAN"
A third joked: "That’s nuts" whereas a fourth referenced her star-making role in The X Files, adding: "Damn! It's a case to be studied by Mulder and Scully."
Gillian has achieved icon status as her role of Jean on Sex Education , who is the mother of main character and amateur sex therapist Otis.
Many fans in the comments suggested this was a hint towards the anticipated third series of the show.
She does have a track record of fruit-and-vegetable based cheekiness in the run up to the series - as before season one she showed fans how to perform a sex act on a courgette .
The deleted scene was originally from an episode of Sex Education and showed her character Jean demonstrate in a video revealed to the whole school.
A supposedly more youthful Jean can be seen performing the act on a courgette to the camera, where she teaches viewers her 'technique'.
To the amusement of the producers, the actress then picks up a tomato before the clip cuts out.
"Should have seen what I did with the tomato. #bts regram @sexeducation @netflixuk," she wrote alongside the video.
Eagle-eyed fans show took to the subreddit and shared a snap of a member of the show's production team in front of the Moordale Secondary School lectern emblazoned with the school's symbol.
The caption read: "And that's a wrap!", leaving fans hopeful it meant series three was in the can and heading to the streaming service soon, although Netflix is yet to confirm a release date.

Netflix and Gillian Anderson have given Sex Education fans an extra treat with an extended, uninterrupted cut to Jean’s now iconic courgette video.
In the series, Gillian’s character Jean is a sex education therapist, and in one particularly cringeworthy scene, her high school son Otis is left mortified as her masturbation instructional video is played to the class.
With Otis helpless to do anything but just sit there and watch it happen, Jean uses a courgette as a demonstration on how to give yourself or your sexual partner a ‘little light relief’.
She then gets pretty in-depth with her instruction including groaning and moaning as Jean talks you through the process.
Basically, every teenager’s worst nightmare.
Now viewers can watch the clip in its full cringeworthy glory, with everything from the vegetable masturbation to the wig Jean has on being far too much to handle.
Gillian then ends the clip by grabbing a nearby tomato and suggesting that she’s about to do something with that as well, before it all becoming too much and she cracks up laughing.
Posting the clip on Instagram, she then joked: ‘Should have seen what I did with the tomato.’
Sex Education hasn’t even been out a month and has already been given the green light for season two .

Netflix star also describes her ”hellish“ sex scene
As a grown woman, Gillian Anderson knows about the birds and the bees. But playing a sex therapist on Netflix’s “Sex Education” did actually teach her something about intercourse she didn’t already know: the word vaginitis.
See Jean, the “X-Files” alum’s character, is a very well-respected professional within her field and she has books upon books lining her shelves, all filled with facts about the male and female anatomies that embarrass the heck out of her teenage son, Otis (played by Asa Butterfield). And so Anderson had to learn the terminology that Jean, a smartypants when it comes to unzipping your pants, uses in everyday conversation. Unfortunately, the definition of vaginitis has since escaped her.
“Couldn’t tell you what it means,” Anderson told TheWrap in a recent interview, which you can see above. “But I looked it up and then I think I said it. And it’s gone.”
When it comes to the business of getting busy, there are other differences between Jean and Gillian, one being modesty.
“There’s a lot of sex in the show, but there’s only one time that my character, Jean, is having sex,” Anderson said. “So that sex scene– just filming sex scenes, in general, is quite hellish.”
She added: “The biggest problem is that she wouldn’t be the kind of person who would cover-up. I am the kind of person who covers up even many years into a relationship I’m like, ‘Can you turn around? I’m about to walk across the room.’ So balancing those two things was challenging.”
As for where we’ll find Jean and her son Otis in Season 2 after their big breakthrough at the end of the show’s debut year, Anderson says it won’t be as easy a road to traverse as you might have expected.
“When we start Season 2, we’re pretty much starting where we left off,” she said. “And I think she’s still trying. They’ve made some headway together in terms of levels of communication. But, as with anything with parenting, you think you’ve taken a few steps forward and then you take a few steps back. And I think that dynamic continues a little bit here and there. Which is good, because that’s real and it makes for good comedy and good drama.”
Watch the full interview above to find out if Anderson is Team Ola or Team Maeve and check back with TheWrap next week for more from our chat, in which she discusses playing Margaret Thatcher on Season 4 of “The Crown.”
“Sex Education” Season 1 is streaming now on Netflix. No premiere date has been set for Season 2, but we know it’s coming in 2020.
