I have teamed up with GTS director ViSa at www.giantessave.com to continue creating compelling and immersive SFX films.
The reason I've changed my "goal earnings" is because it's extremely dated and much has changed. Each SFX film has an approx. budget cost of $1,000 - $2,000. The breakdown of that is (Giantess Pay, Green Screen Rental, Actor, Location, SFX Editor, and Narrative Editor) Now I understand why these type of films aren't sustainable. The profit margin is way too high. Fans and critics don't know this side of production and I think it's finally time we are transparent with it. If I don't find a way to lower this overhead I'm unsure how much longer I can produce SFX films - I'll go as long as I can. (Tip of the hat to pirates) Last few projects I was barely able to break even and I struggled to pay my models/editors. This forced us to up production and rush films to keep us afloat. SO WHY GIVE ME MONEY WITH NO REWARD? I'm changing the way I use Patreon. Basically my goal is to have Patreon directly fund my monthly projects, and the sale revenue percentage I receive is money so I can live. There is, in fact, a reward. But it's "long-term" gratification vs. "short-term." Myself and ViSa will put our hearts and souls into each feature - Doing groundbreaking stories because we have the money and no time-pressure. OUR SECOND PLAN: Plastic Models (Don't let this startle you) We are going to roll out a separate series of clips COMPLETELY SEPARATE from our SFX films using plastic models. These clips wil be shorter. Shot simplisticly with story/scenarios suggested by fans. These films will cost the consumer about $5-10 per clip. For those who can't afford the SFX features, this could be a nice alternative. It's extremely important to mention this will not affect our SFX feature films in any way. This is merely a way to bring in a little extra revenue (helping offset the enormous costs) and will also give fans who don't care for SFX but still want to see me in action (or other GA Giantess.) I appreciate you guys coming through for me, since the very beginning. These films continue to happen thanks to you.
