This Privacy Policy describes how Ghub collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes personal data in connection with the Ghub service, including the mobile application, web version, public pages, and related features (the “Service”).

By using the Service, creating an account, uploading materials, publishing content, including reviews, diary entries, collections and other user content, and by interacting with notifications, recommendations, search, profile features, and the AI assistant, the user acknowledges that they have read and accepted this Privacy Policy.

1. General Provisions

1.1. This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data that Ghub receives from users in connection with the use of the Service.

1.2. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual.

1.3. This Privacy Policy applies to the processing of data in the Ghub mobile applications for iOS and Android, the web version, public profile pages, game pages, collection pages, and related technical mechanisms, including links, deep links, and push notifications.

1.4. If certain features of the Service are governed by additional terms, such terms shall apply to the extent they do not conflict with this Privacy Policy.

3.3. Game Interaction and Collection Data

  • games added by the user;
  • game statuses, including “Wishlist”, “Playing”, and “Completed”;
  • user ratings;
  • reviews;
  • user-created collections;
  • priorities assigned within collections;
  • history of related changes.

3.4. “Live Diary” Data

  • text entries about gameplay progress;
  • the game associated with each entry;
  • date and time of creation, editing, or deletion;
  • attached images and videos;
  • related file metadata, including format, size, technical characteristics, and storage identifiers.

3.5. Public User Content

  • published reviews;
  • public collections;
  • content available through a link;
  • publicly visible profile elements, where enabled by the user.

3.6. Notification and Communication Data

  • delivery, read, and interaction data related to notifications;
  • selected notification categories;
  • push notification settings;
  • support communications and other correspondence with Ghub.

3.7. Technical and Network Data

  • IP address;
  • device type;
  • device model;
  • device and app identifiers;
  • operating system and version;
  • interface language;
  • time zone;
  • app version;
  • browser type;
  • cookies and similar technologies;
  • event logs, error logs, crash logs, diagnostics, and service usage data.

3.8. Security-Related Data

  • login session information;
  • authentication and refresh token data;
  • records relating to login attempts, password reset requests, and email verification;
  • records required to prevent abuse, fraud, spam, unauthorized access, and violations of the Service rules.

3.9. AI-Related Data

If the user uses the AI assistant for drafting a review, Ghub may process:

  • game title;
  • genres;
  • user-provided bullet points or notes;
  • selected writing style;
  • generated draft text;
  • user edits made afterwards.

4. Sources of Data

4.1. Ghub receives data directly from the user when the user registers, uses Service features, publishes content, changes settings, uploads media, or contacts support.

4.2. Ghub may automatically collect technical data through the use of the Service.

4.3. In certain cases, Ghub may receive data from the user’s device, including media files, only after the relevant permissions are granted in the operating system or browser.

4.4. Ghub may receive data from third-party infrastructure providers involved in operating the Service, such as cloud storage providers, analytics vendors, notification delivery services, authentication services, anti-abuse tools, and error monitoring providers.

5. Purposes of Processing

Ghub processes personal data for the following purposes:

5.1. to create and maintain the user account;

5.2. to provide access to the functionality of the Service;

5.3. to enable game search, collection management, ratings, reviews, diary entries, collections, and profile management;

5.4. to personalize content, recommendations, and notifications based on the user’s selected genres, preferences, and behavior within the Service;

5.5. to enable the publication and sharing of public collections, profiles, and game pages via links;

5.6. to provide the AI assistant and related review-drafting functionality;

5.7. to respond to user requests and provide support;

5.8. to ensure information security, prevent abuse, identify technical issues, debug, and monitor the Service;

5.9. to improve the quality, interfaces, performance, reliability, and usability of the Service;

5.10. to comply with applicable law and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and legitimate interests of Ghub.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on applicable law, Ghub may process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

6.1. performance of a contract or taking steps at the user’s request prior to entering into a contract;

6.2. the user’s consent, where consent is required;

6.3. legitimate interests of Ghub, provided such interests are not overridden by the user’s rights and freedoms;

7. Public Features and Visibility

7.1. Certain Service features involve the publication or sharing of user content, including reviews, collections, certain profile elements, and other materials, where this is enabled through the Service settings.

7.2. The user is responsible for the content they choose to make public or share via a link.

7.3. If the user publishes content publicly, such content may be visible to other users, search engines, link preview services, and other third parties to the extent technically accessible.

7.4. The user must not upload or publish third-party personal data without an adequate legal basis and without complying with applicable law.

8. Notifications

8.1. Ghub may send service notifications necessary for the operation of the Service, including notifications relating to registration, login, password reset, security settings, content publication, and other material events.

8.2. Subject to the relevant settings or consent, Ghub may send push notifications regarding new releases, recommendations, and other activity within the Service.

8.3. The user may modify certain notification preferences within the profile settings or the device settings. However, some service-related notifications may remain mandatory.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

9.1. In the web version, Ghub may use cookies, pixels, local storage, session storage, SDKs, and similar technologies for:

  • authentication;
  • saving user preferences;
  • maintaining stable interface functionality;
  • analytics;
  • abuse prevention;
  • operation of public pages and deep links.

9.2. The user may restrict cookies through browser settings. In such a case, some features of the Service may function improperly or become unavailable.

10. AI Assistant

10.1. If the user chooses to use the AI assistant for review drafting, Ghub may transmit relevant input data and instructions to AI infrastructure providers acting on behalf of Ghub, solely to the extent necessary to provide the feature.

10.2. Use of the AI assistant is optional.

10.3. AI-generated text may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or wording that does not reflect the user’s actual views. The user is solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and confirming any generated content before publication.

10.4. Ghub may use technical logs related to AI interactions for security, debugging, service quality improvement, and abuse prevention, where permitted by applicable law.

11. Disclosure to Third Parties

11.1. Ghub does not sell personal data.

11.2. Ghub may disclose personal data to third parties in the following cases:

  • hosting, cloud infrastructure, and storage providers;
  • authentication, email delivery, push notification, and error monitoring providers;
  • analytics and anti-abuse providers;
  • AI infrastructure providers, where the user uses AI functionality;
  • consultants, auditors, lawyers, and other contractors where necessary;
  • courts, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and other third parties where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect Ghub’s rights.

11.3. Where data is disclosed to third parties, Ghub takes reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality and security, including data protection commitments where applicable.

12. International Data Transfers

12.1. Depending on the infrastructure used, personal data may be processed and stored on servers located outside the user’s country of residence.

12.2. In the event of international data transfers, Ghub takes measures intended to comply with applicable law, including appropriate legal mechanisms and contractual safeguards where required.

13. Data Retention

13.1. Personal data is retained no longer than necessary for the purposes for which it is processed, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

13.2. Account data is retained for the lifetime of the account and for a reasonable period thereafter where necessary for:

  • dispute resolution;

13.3. Public user content may be retained until removed by the user or until the account is deleted, unless retention is required for legal compliance or the protection of Ghub’s rights.

13.4. Backups and technical logs may be retained longer than primary records to the extent necessary for system stability and security.

14.1. Ghub implements reasonable organizational and technical safeguards to protect personal data, which may include:

  • role-based restriction of employee and contractor access;

  • safeguards against unauthorized access;
  • upload validation and file type restrictions;
  • error and incident monitoring;
  • backup procedures.

14.2. Despite these measures, Ghub cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the Internet or stored in any information system.

15. User Rights

Subject to applicable law, the user may have the right to:

15.1. obtain information about the processing of their personal data;

15.2. access their personal data;

15.3. request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;

15.4. request deletion where there are valid grounds;

15.5. request restriction of processing;

15.6. object to processing where such right exists under applicable law;

16. Account and Content Deletion

16.1. The user may request deletion of their account and associated personal data through Service functionality or by contacting support@ghub.one.

16.2. Deletion of an account does not necessarily mean immediate and irreversible deletion of all data. Certain data may remain:

  • in backups;
  • in technical logs;
  • for legally required retention periods;
  • as necessary to protect Ghub’s rights;
  • in anonymized form.

16.3. If user content has been made public, copies may remain in caches, search engine indexes, browser archives, other users’ devices, or third-party systems beyond Ghub’s control.

17. Children’s Privacy

17.1. Unless expressly permitted by applicable law, the Service is not intended for individuals below the age at which they may lawfully consent to the processing of personal data on their own behalf.

17.2. If Ghub becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a child in violation of applicable law, Ghub may take steps to delete such data and restrict the relevant account.

18.1. Ghub may amend this Privacy Policy at any time.

18.2. The current version of the Privacy Policy will be made available through the Service together with the date of the latest update.

18.3. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the amended version constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
