It’s not just landscaping. This is truly a case of the sum being greater than the parts. You might see it as a shrub here, a path there, a flower bed, that good climbing tree … but the effect is one of total grace and welcome. Imagine living in a beautiful outdoor environment. That’s what we help you create.
Beautiful Formal Landscaping Designed by Richard Anderson, Landscape Architect from Atlanta Landscape installed & maintained by Outdoor Inc.
Client in Soddy Daisy had a drainage issue in the back yard. We created a dry creek bed to handle the water and a nice landscape to match. Plant health care services performed by Urban Tree Inc.

My front lawn needed some help. It was patchy and lifeless. Bart Dennis and his team came in and took their time to aerate and over-seed, they also laid hay out on the many bare spots that I couldn’t fix. It’s been about two weeks since they were here, and my lawn looks incredible. You…
I highly recommend Outdoor, Inc. They are an exceptional landscaping company to work with. The whole crew are professionals that know their job and do it well! I work for a commercial real estate company that manages multiple properties and these guys are by far the best I’ve ever worked with.
Outdoor Inc has been a great company to deal with! They provided my property with prompt and professional service, the technician was courteous to my wife, and kept us in the loop. Heck, even my dog liked him.
Not your average landscape company. The highest level of quality and attention to detail.
Very professional, get the yard cut and trimmed quickly, and best part – blow everything off and everything looks great when they’re done.
The team members of Outdoor, Inc. are the best! We have tasked them with the job of helping us get control of our yard again. Our job is a step by step process, not a “do it all at one time”, yet they have given us the courtesy of working patiently & respectfully with us…

Summer Camp Details

Every year hundreds of youth aged 8-15 from across the province put down their cell phones, video games, and turn off their televisions for the opportunity to experience the most exciting program in Ontario. This program provides youth with an alternative to digital entertainment, by putting an emphasis on our traditional outdoor recreational activities.
It is the only fishing and hunting youth program of its kind in Ontario!
Located at the Kinark Outdoor Centre (15 minutes north of Minden)
The only Fishing & Hunting Kids' Camp of its kind in Ontario
Full payment required upon registration.
Each summer the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) invites youth from across the province to put down their cell phones, video games, and turn off their televisions for the opportunity to experience the only camp of its kind in Ontario. This camp gives today's youth first hand exposure to our rich, outdoor heritage and encourages them to Get Outdoors!
Over the past five years, this camp has filled up in a matter of minutes on registration day. Back by popular demand and with the stellar support of our volunteers, the OFAH Get Outdoors Summer Leadership Camp will again have a total of 240 spots for youth ages 8-15.
The OFAH Get Outdoors summer camp puts an emphasis on promoting our outdoor heritage. Check out the summer camp video featuring the high energy activities each camper experiences. Enjoy and Get Outdoors!

At 10:00 am on the day of registration, a link will appear on the Get Outdoors Summer Camp page titled Register Online. This website will ask you to sign-up as a new user or sign-in if you have previously registered for OFAH youth events. It will then lead you through all necessary information to be completed in order to finalize your registration. The following will be needed:

A detailed information package will be emailed to you one month prior to the date of camp. This information package will include: packing list, map and directions, drop off and pick up times, as well as information on what to expect.

Can I register my child for multiple camps?

No. Due to the very high demand for the camps, each youth may only attend one summer camp so that as many as possible can experience the outdoor fun!

Does my child need to be an OFAH member to be registered in the Summer Camp?
Your child does not need to be a member prior to registration; however, he/she will need to be an OFAH member to attend the camp. Therefore, to avoid deregistration, they are required to get a membership within one month after registration. You can do this online at www.ofah.org/join or call (705) 748-6324 x 651 and ask for the membership department.

No. We have moved to online registration only. Please find a computer location (friend, neighbour, library, etc.) with an internet connection for registration (registration date is listed on the website - www.getoutdoors.org ).

Can I register my friend's/relative's child for camp?

Yes. You will just need to add them to your 'household' during registration. Please have their first/last name, birth date, gender and OFAH membership number (if applicable) ready. By registering a child on their parent/guardian’s behalf, you are taking responsibility for the information you provide and ensuring the parent/guardian(s) are aware of all details by forwarding any correspondence sent to you.

The camp is located at the Kinark Outdoor Centre (KOC), 15 minutes north of Minden, Ontario. The KOC is located on its own private lake surrounded by 243 acres of wetlands and mature forest.

Is this an overnight camp, and if so, what are the accommodations?

Yes. Your child will spend four days and three nights at camp. The facility offers clean cabins with two-piece bathrooms located close to a shower house, a large dining hall, recreation center, sauna, and swimming area. Feel free to check out the KOC facilities at www.kinark.on.ca/koc/facility/ .

The OFAH Get Outdoors Program will provide all program equipment needed. A list of specific items that your child will need to bring will be included in an information package emailed to you one month prior to the camp date. These items would include personal belongings, such as clothing, bug spray, sunscreen, sleeping bag, pillow, etc.

No. We do not want to encourage local critters to join our camp experience. Your child will be provided with all meals and snacks that they require. Healthy snacks are always made available to campers.

How many staff are present at the camp?

For every five campers there will be, at minimum one staff available. With 60 campers you can expect, at minimum 12 staff and volunteers at all times; however, in most cases there are 15-20 staff and volunteers on site.

Do staff/volunteers sleep in the cabin with the campers?

No. Staff responsible for each cabin will sleep in tents directly outside the cabin, close by to monitor behaviour and be available for emergency purposes. We strongly believe the children deserve privacy in their sleeping quarters.

Can my child request to be in the same group as a friend or family member?

Upon registration, any requests can be added in the notes section. Activity groups are usually based on the ages of each child. All efforts will be made to meet your requests, although if the number of youth in each age range vary, some requests might not be possible. These groups will be a mixture of boys and girls of similar age.

Can my child request to be in the same cabin as a friend or family member?

Cabin assignments are made after all participants have had the opportunity to meet each other and find common interests with their peers. Campers are encouraged to provide input on cabin assignments, and all efforts will be made to meet these requests. All cabins will be gender-specific.

No. Your child should have no need for money; all equipment is provided. All valuables and electronics are to be left at home. We are not responsible for misplaced items.

We are very proud that our participants come from all corners of the province, and as a result, there is no one location that a pick up would be economical. It is your responsibility to get your child to and from the camp location. Keep in mind, if you arrange for a carpool, please ensure that all paperwork has been signed prior to and arrives with your camper.

Located at Camp Kawartha (30 minutes north of Peterborough)
Camp open to youth ages 8-15 | Cost: TDB + HST + an OFAH membership Full payment required upon registration.

In 2004, in response to the growing interest our youth members had expressed in hunting, fishing, conservation, and other outdoor pursuits, the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) initiated the Get Outdoors Youth Leadership Conference; ran in conjunction with the OFAH Annual General Meeting and Fish & Wildlife Conference. Instead, this year we decided to take an extra step and offer a January Winter Camp in order to get our youth members involved in a wider range of winter outdoor activities. This January, 40 youth members (ages 8-16) from across Ontario will get the opportunity to partake in activities that encourage their interest in the outdoors. This event caters specifically to encourage our youth members to become future stewards of conservation, and share our passion for hunting and fishing.
The idea of this three-day event has grown in popularity over the past decade, as the national award winning OFAH Get Outdoors program becomes increasingly recognized for being a leader in youth outdoor education.
The OFAH Get Outdoors program is proud to offer a Winter Camp at Camp Kawartha’s Outdoor Education Centre, in Douro-Dummer .
Here's what to expect at the first OFAH Get Outdoors Winter Camp:

Is this an overnight camp and, if so, what are the accommodations?
Yes. Your child will spend two days and two nights at the Camp Kawartha’s Outdoor Education Centre, and get the opportunity to stay inside Camp Kawartha’s many fantastic cabins. Campers sleep in gender-separate cabins, and will require a sleeping bag, and pillow.
Campers also have gender-separate washrooms and have access to showering facilities during free time and before bed. To ensure proper supervision, the OFAH is taking initiative when offering supervision and sleeping quarters to all of the youth participants. The OFAH will ensure that all of the sleeping areas are supervised by at least two adult volunteers of the same gender and/or a youth leader. Washrooms are located close by, so campers can comfortable change in privacy.
The OFAH Get Outdoors program will provide all program equipment needed; however, a list of specific items that your child will need to bring will be included in an information package emailed to you one month prior to the event. These items include personal belongings, such as change of clothes (two days’ worth), sleeping bag, pillow, warm sweater, winter boots, winter jacket, snow pants, mitts, toque, scarf, daypack, towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, indoor running shoes (clean and dry), water bottle, extra socks, etc.

Can my child request to be in the same group as a friend or family member?
Upon registration, any requests can be added in the “notes” form. Activity groups are usually based on the age of each child. All efforts will be made to meet your requests, although if the number of youth in each age range vary, some requests might not be possible. These groups will be a mixture of boys and girls of similar age group.
Your child will be provided with all meals and snacks that they require. Healthy snacks are always made available to campers. We prefer that no campers bring any snacks due to increased allergy concerns.
Your child should have no need for money; all equipment is provided. It is highly suggested that all valuables and electronics be left at home. We are not responsible for any lost or misplaced items.
No, as all of the participants come from all corners of the province, there is no one location that a pick up would be economical. It is your responsibility to get your child to and from Camp Kawartha. Keep in mind, if you arrange for someone else to drop off your child, please ensure that all of the paperwork has been signed and submitted in advance. Your child will not be able to participate without properly completed paperwork. Please also let us know if someone other than you will be picking your child up.
Youth education and conservation programs like Get Outdoors is only made possible thanks to the support of the OFAH's more than 100,000 members, subscribers and supporters, and 740 member clubs, across the Province of Ontario.

Hosted by Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the City of Colorado Springs, and Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance, Get Outdoors Day is an annual event for kids and families to engage with vendors and learn about ways to explore our great outdoors. The annual event is held the first Saturday in June at Memorial Park/ Prospect Lake. Get Outdoors Day features a variety of outdoor businesses and nonprofit agencies ready to introduce kids and their families to outdoor activities here in the Pikes Peak Region. In previous years, visitors have explored outdoor activities such as biking, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, fly fishing, spin fishing, mapping, shooting, and more! Get Outdoors Day offers the opportunity to learn about trail maintenance and projects, conservation, and the Leave No Trace principles. The goal of Get Outdoors Day is to connect people to the great outdoor recreation opportunities that we have in the local Pikes Peak Region and to provide the opportunity to learn a new hobby, practice a new trade, or learn about opportunities to connect with and conserve our outdoor spaces.
