Dean of Transportation Interior Design, Hochschule Reutlingen | Andrea Lipp-Allrutz studied Product Design at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle. After graduating, she worked initially at Bombardier Transportation and IFS Designatelier in Berlin. From 2001 to 2006, Lipp-Allrutz was Head of Design Interior at Neoplan Bus. Since then she has worked as a freelance designer for MAN Truck & Bus. Andrea Lipp-Allrutz has been Professor of Transportation Interior Design at Reutlingen University and in 2010 she was appointed Head of Department.


Folkwang University of the Arts | Founder of Bernotat&Co Design Studio | Anke Bernotat began her career with a cabinetmaker apprenticeship followed by studies in product design at the University of Wuppertal (Bergische Universität Wuppertal). She worked for Lord Norman Foster, Jasper Morrison in London and n/p/k Industrial Design, Leiden. After several years of teaching at the Design Academy Eindhoven, she accepted the professorship for industrial design 'conception and design' at the Folkwang University of the Arts in 2004.
In 2007 she founded Bernotat&Co Design Studio, a few years later reinforced by her partner Jan Jacob Borstlap. Together they design, develop and curate local and international design projects and exhibitions. Bernotat&Co believes in design without boundaries, so they design exhibitions, products, illustrations, art direction and much more, in all scales, for renowned companies. The results of Bernotat&Co have won many awards and their work has been exhibited in renowned museums worldwide.


Vice President Experience Design Pro7Sat.1 | Björn Sorge has been a consultant, entrepreneur and thought leader in the digital business for over 20 years. He calls himself the "child of the new economy" and can look back on countless digital projects and products. The truly consistent anchoring of a customer-centric strategy and vision in companies is a matter close to his heart. His personal motto is: "You're good at things that are fun! And that's what he tries to communicate in his daily work with designers. Björn Sorge lives on beautiful Lake Ammersee, has 2 children and is now Vice President Experience Design for the digital transformation of Pro7Sat.1.


Senior Designer, Tatic Designstudio | After her diploma in product design at the HfG Offenbach and subsequent cooperation with German and Italian design studios, she began her collaboration with Tatic Designstudio 2010. It was there that she specialised in brand-shaping product design in the fields of sports lifestyle, architectural components, household and FMCGs, and went on to win numerous international awards with her team.


Founder, Studio Hanne Willmann | Hanne Willmann is a multidisciplinary Designer based in Berlin, focusing on Product Design and Creative Direction. Hannes core competencies lie in the areas of furniture, lights and tableware. The inventive designs are characterized by her deep passion for details and the high value placed on aesthetic appeal. After studying at the University of the Arts in Berlin and Elisava in Barcelona, Hanne worked for the design studio Autoban in Istanbul and for Werner Aisslinger in Berlin, before she founded her own studio in 2015. In the same year she was selected as "Design Talent of the Year 2015" by A&W Magazine, followed by the German Design Award "Newcomer Finalist 2016". Since 2017 she is lecturing at the University of the Arts, Berlin.


Executive Director Creation, Interbrand | Jens Grefen is Executive Director Creation and part of the managing team for Interbrand Germany. With about 15 years of experience in consulting, creating and managing brands he has essentially shaped the appearance and identity of various brands, and thereby contributed significantly to their growth. With his comprehensive know-how in conception and design, he counsels clients across multiple industries: telecommunication, technology, automotive industry, tourism, retail, transportation, energy, chemical industry, pharma, and financial services.


President & Creative Advisor, Dongdao Creative Branding Group | Jianjun Xie earned his master’s degree from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 1997, he founded Dongdao Design in Beijing and has headed the company ever since. Under his guidance, Dongdao has evolved to become a leading creative branding and development consultancy. Jianjun Xie is a member of numerous design associations, and has received many prestigious awards.


Managing Partner, Peter Schmidt Group GmbH | Lukas Cottrell is Managing Partner at the Peter Schmidt Group - the largest German design agency. His tasks as a strategist and designer include developing holistic and meaningful design solutions. He has extensive experience in marketing strategy, brand development, design management and digital transformation. Lukas Cottrell can build on more than 20 years of professional experience, which includes projects with many international blue-chip clients from the financial services, telecommunications, technology, mobility and FMCG sectors.


Studio Besau-Marguerre | After studying product and communication design in Wuppertal and Karlsruhe, Marcel Besau (*1980) and Eva Marguerre founded their interdisciplinary design studio in Hamburg. Their design approach led them both to extraordinary ideas and products, in which they combined an experimental use of unusual materials with striking colour schemes. The Hamburg studio worked for international customers such as Vitra, Artek and e15, and has already been nominated for – and received – a number of design awards.


Studio Mark Braun | Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar | Mark Braun studied industrial design at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences, the Design Academy Eindhoven and the University of Art and Design Halle. After completing his studies, he founded his own design studio in 2006 in Berlin and he has already received the German Design Award a number of times for his work for well-known international companies. Mark Braun has also made a name for himself in teaching: from 2007 to 2010, he worked at the University of Art and Design Halle as an artistic associate in the field of industrial design/strategic product and concept development, and in 2015 he was a visiting lecturer at the ECAL, École cantonale d'art de Lausanne. Since 2015, he has held the post of Professor for Product Design/Industrial Design at the HBKsaar.


Professor Design Department, Darmstadt University | A designer and a strategist, Philipp Thesen is among the most prominent pioneers in the fields of strategic design and of the digital transformation of products, processes and business models. He is a design professor specialised in human-system-interaction at the Design Department of Darmstadt University. As the previous Chief Design at Deutsche Telekom, Philipp Thesen was responsible for the design of all the company’s products and digital services, and also for the design strategy and the worldwide implementation of design principles in over 20 countries.


LS Interiors | Sabine Loeser Schoeps studied Interior design in Florence and Architecture at the HfbK in Hamburg.
After working as a Project Manager in Zurich from 2005 to 2010, she founded LS Interiors in 2010.
The Frankfurt office is focused on national and international projects, specializing in interior design for public and private buildings.


President, aed e.V. (Association for the Promotion of Architecture, Engineering & Design) | Silvia Olp is president of the aed e.V. in Stuttgart and initiator of the aed neuland competition for young talents. As Silvia Olp Public Relations, she is active as a consultant for PR and Marketing activities of design-oriented industry as well as design agencies and architectural offices. She was Head of Communications at Phoenix Design and for many years PR and Marketing Director at burkhardt leitner modular spaces. She also worked as a studio manager for well-known photographers, including Staud Studios.


Creative director and founder, Pascher+Heinz | Reinhard Pascher is creative director and founder of Pascher+Heinz, a Munich-based sports brand agency. He studied architecture at Graz University of Technology. His expertise includes 30 years of developing and managing sports brands and shaping sports design. Together with his team of 24 creative personalities, he develops brand, product, and communication concepts. For more than 15 years, he has served as the head judge of ISPO BRANDNEW, the sporting goods industry’s largest start-up competition.


Formerly of Scholten & Baijings | Co-Founder of the Amsterdam-based studio Scholten & Baijings until 2019, Carole Baijings is widely regarded as one of the most exciting, innovative and dynamic industrial designers in Europe. A self-confessed perfectionist, her work – which includes ceramics, glassware, textiles, rugs and furniture – is distinguished by a carefully considered use of colour, pattern and graphic elements. Her eye for detail is well-known. This has resulted in numerous partnerships with brands such as Samsung, IKEA, MINI, HAY, Herman Miller, Karimoku New Standard and Maharam among others.

Always looking to challenge and rethink the way people interact and live with design, Baijings’ work has been featured in prestigious institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Rijksmuseum.

Vice president, Tongji University | Prof. Wu Siegfried Zhiqiang is vice president of Tongji University, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, German Academy of Science and Engineering, Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Science and honorary fellow of American Institute of Architects. He serves as co-chair of Steering Committee of World Planning School Congress and permanent member of UNESCO-UIA. He is chief planner of World EXPO Shanghai 2010, Qingdao World Horticultural Exhibition and Earthquake Placement Plan in Sichuan.


Jennifer is an Industrial Designer at heart who's specialized in User and Customer Research. She studied Industrial Design in Darmstadt (Diploma), did her Bachelor of Arts in San Francisco and her Master of Science in User Research in Edinburgh. She loves to work in a diverse and cross disciplinary team close to new technology topics contributing her passion for human-centric-innovation and continuously questioning the status quo. She is currently working at Siemens digital industries data lab as Head of UX driven AI, bringing the human factor into the B2B context. Besides, she is doing her PhD at the Bauhaus University in Weimar investigating how the creative community should and could positively influence AI development. She believes in the power of her profession to contribute and add value to the challenges, as well as opportunities, of the digital age.


Director, School of The Arts and Design, University of Nairobi | Prof. Dr Lilac Osanjo has PhD in Design (UoN), MSc Entrepreneurship (JKUAT) and BA Design (UoN) with expertise in product development and small enterprise development. She has many years teaching experience in design starting in advertising, textile printing and weaving and furniture. Currently she is undertaking research on locally available materials to support affordable housing in Kenya. She has been a judge in design competitions both locally and in the international stage having been a jury at Design Turkey Week (2017), 100 million Artists stimulus programme (2020) and SME export products (2019) among others.


Founder and head of OUTERCRAFT | After studying arts and materials and working 10 years as a craftsman in the surfboard industry, Florian Auger launch OUTERCRAFT. The french design agency specializing in innovation quickly starts collaborating with brands like Decathlon, Zodiac Nautic, RIP Curl or DAB Motors. Loyal to his roots, he developed a tangible approach of product design and equip the studio with a multi-material prototyping workshop to support boldest product innovations. His expertise lately extended to strategy and branding in the fields of sports and mobility.


Managing Partner Phoenix Design GmbH + Co. KG | Andreas Diefenbach (*1979) has been Managing Partner of Phoenix Design since 2019 and has been active in various roles and as a member of various associations since 2009. He studied industrial design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and has many years of experience in building and leading interdisciplinary teams in a global context, with whom he develops innovation strategies, design languages and award-winning products and services for renowned international companies.


Senior Advisor, Design & Innovation, Confederation of Indian Industry | Board of Directors, World Design Organization | Prof. Vyas has more than 36 years of professional and teaching experience in various fields of design and has been associated with the National Institute of Design (NID) for 30 years, first as a faculty member and later as Director of the Institute. He has received several awards for his contributions to design education and advancement, including his "Outstanding Contribution to Education" at the 2015 World Education Congress. He received the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Times Education Icons 2017 and has been a jury member of the Good Design Award (G-Mark) Special Jury of the Japan Institute of Design Promotion, Japan on several occasions. Prof. Vyas was named "Distinguished Professor" of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, China, at the Shanghai Global Design Summit 2019.


Lead designer, Studio Rygalik | Studio Rygalik is working on architecture and products for premium companies and international brands including Cappellini, Moroso, Ghidini, Siemens, Heineken, or Ikea. Tomek Rygalik is an open minded educator with broad experience and PhD in industrial design; Head of Graduate Studies at the Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Tomek is founder and creative director of furniture and accessories brand TRE Product; cofounder of the interdisciplinary platform Design Nature and the Creative Campus Sobole. His work is about the engaging nature of new typology, longevity and simplicity holding power to responsibly elevate everyday life.


Founder and partner of Altherr Désile Park | German born Jeannette Altherr is founder and partner of Altherr Désile Park, the evolution of the long-standing Barcelona-based studio Lievore Altherr. The studio specializes in product design & development, strategic consulting, creative direction, art direction, and ephemeral architecture for internationally recognized design companies such as Arper, Andreu World, Vibia, Noorth, among others.
Their approach develops projects often based on a creative concept integrating product design and its communication. This holistic approach, humanist character, and the search for the essential in their projects – combined with a sensibility that transmits harmony and balance – characterize the work of Altherr Désile Park.


Co-Founder & Creative Director of toi toi toi creative studio | Portuguese Canadian multidisciplinary designer Melissa Amarelo has contributed to residential, hospitality and workplace interiors across Europe and North America. Innovation, functionality and sustainability are vital components to her designs. In 2017 she co-founded toi toi toi creative studio together with Stephanie Lund in Berlin. The studio's most recent accomplishment is the new 8000+ sq.m workplace interior for Berlin's tech company Contentful.


Werner Sobek Design GmbH / Werner Sobek AG | Roland Bechmann is Managing Director and Partner of Werner Sobek AG and General Manager of Werner Sobek Design GmbH in Stuttgart. He studied structural engineering at the University of Hanover and has been with Werner Sobek since 2000. There he heads the department for acquisition and competitions. In the field of project work, he has been involved in the planning of complex large-scale projects and all questions relating to resource-saving and climate-neutral construction for over 20 years.


Senior Principal Service Designer, Deutsche Telekom AG | With a master degree in Product Service System Design from Politecnico di Milano, she started her career with eight years at Samsung. After leading the design strategy team in McLaren Applied for three years, in London, she moved to Germany, working for Siemens Healthineers before joining Deutsche Telekom in 2021.
As in-house design strategist, she is passionate about working in multidisciplinary teams and delivering value through Service Design, Systems Thinking and Data Driven Innovation.


Founder of Stephen Burks Man Made | Stephen Burks Man Made is a hands-on collaborative design studio deeply invested in the transformative power of craft techniques that challenge the limits of new technologies within industrial production. Our projects include furniture, installations, lighting, packaging, and product design for some of the world’s leading design-driven brands. We believe in a pluralistic vision of design inclusive of all cultural perspectives. Independently and through association with various non-profits, the studio has worked as product development consultants in close collaboration with artisans and craftspeople throughout the globe. In the fall of 2022, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta will showcase the studio’s innovative practice in a large scale survey exhibition entitled Stephen Burks: Shelter in Place.
