Willkommen to our romantic B&B in the Texas Wine Country. Embedded in a nice garden setting, the two cottages Rapunzel and Rumpelstilzchen are reminders of old Germanic dwellings from the early middle ages. Downstairs, in each cottage, you'll find a cozy living room, a kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and another bedroom in the loft. An old spinning wheel in the loft of Rumpelstilzchen challenges you to explore this ancient art. A collection of fascinating fairy paintings created by the hostess greets you in Rapunzel. You can relax at the pond, feed the goldfish and listen to the frogs chanting to the sound of the waterfall. Sip a glass of wine on the small patio in front of the cottages or on the big patio next to the main house. Enjoy a fire in the fire pit in the back of the property by the creek or in the gorgeous fireplace at the big patio. If you are restless or hungry, a 10 minute drive carries you to Fredericksburg with all it's shopping and activities. With 15 wineries within a three miles radius this is the perfect starting point for your wine tour. Upon returning you'll realize, you are close enough to Luckenbach to hear their concerts. And you can look forward to a rich, hearty German breakfast every morning served by the German innkeepers. You'll love this enchanting B&B, but you will not be able to remember it's terrible name Rarumpelpunzeldornaschenwittchen ...

This charming B & B is about 7 miles east of Fredericksburg in a semi rural setting. Cottages feature fairy tale appearance inside and out. Henry and Barbara are excellent hosts. Granddaughter, 9, loved it. Saw hummingbirds, lightening bugs and cardinals. It was restful for parents and grandparents while child could explore the large yard with 2 swings.. Stayed 10 days and hated to leave.
Room Tip: B & B is about a 15 minute drive from town but quiet and lack of loud traffic we’re worth it. ...

Henry and Barbara are very welcoming and good hosts. Cottage was like a tiny house, cozy with everything you need. Also had an issue with the AC but it was taken care of. The European style continental breakfast was more than enough food. Easy drive to town and close to the wineries. Wi-fi is a bit weak, but we weren't there for the internet. No TV but enjoyed having XM radio provided. We started a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the atmosphere - we felt like we were camping but had a nice bed to go to! Enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the hummingbirds and playing with the new rescued (bottle fed) kittens, Salt and Pepper. Saw some ducks in a tree and an armadillo. So although you are in a neighborhood, it seems far removed. Only area for improvement is the shower. It seems to be a tankless water heater and it was hot or cold. We couldn't find the right setting. …

We stayed in this BnB and at first the drive up was a little awkward, but after meeting Henry and Barbara they were really sweet. They are incredibly amazing, and showed us the grounds. They are in the process of making 2 more cottages and the way their cottages were decorated was a breath of fresh air.

What a precious little German B&B outside of Fredericksburg, TX!! Two little fairy tale cottages complete with all amenities, including bottle of wine, candy, fabulous breakfast served to your door and wonderful hosts, Henry and Barbara! We had a problem with our A/C and Henry quickly came and resolved the issue! The cottage has all you need - microwave, small frig, coffee maker (complete with coffee), and many little fairy tale decorations! Even had hummingbirds on the porch outside our door. I highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back.

Overgrown grounds (yard man coming on Monday). Spider web not removed; toilet was dirty and disguised with blue water; appearance of mold in shower; shampoo, soap, etc. was previously used. Pond was dirty (a "project" the owner was working on. A post from a year ago shows he's not working hard on it). The firepit had no wood or matches. Owners should have fired them up nightly. There was another outdoor fire pit near the owner's home, but the entire area was dirty from a storm 4 days before (owner chose to fly his plane instead of taking care of his business). The "great" German breakfast others wrote about consisted of soft-boiled eggs, a couple of slices of bread, and prosciutto wrapped around cheese. Probably better for lunch than breakfast. The A/C didn't turn on, and there were no instructions. Finally figured it out. Nice hobby for the owners, but not a business. And not something I will repeat. …

A must stay while visiting Fredericksburg. The cottage was adorable, cozy and had everything you needed. The European style breakfast was delicious and fit perfectly with the theme. It is a short 10 min. drive into town while passing some wineries on the way. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip.

The room was VERY clean, the bed was comfortable, the cottage seemed roomy despite its small size. Everything was great!! The ONLY reason that the rating is a 4 instead of a 5 is the breakfast was disappointing compared to other bed and breakfasts at which I've stayed. The breakfast consisted of cold cuts, cheese, hard boiled eggs, fruit and bread. The outside was peaceful and enjoyable. It wasn't perfectly manicured but it made it seem like you were in the woods. I would recommend this place!

We loved this place and the warm welcome of the landlord, we's truly passionate about what he does. There's no Tv and no internet (only music but what music!) but it's part of the charm of the place. You won't find 2 places like that in the world. It was like a fairytale. Most charming experience indeed!

Not worth the price. The cottage is behind the owners home. It is in a neighborhood away from the town. The pond was not clean and the fire pit not lite at night. No TV in the room. I was disappointed because I read the good reviews and was expecting way better.

Stayed here with my wife and it was very Amazing. The atmosphere was good the scenery was very beautiful. We stood in the Rumpelstiltskin cabin and it was very comfortable. In the morning there's a continental breakfast delivered on the porch of your cabin for you and it was very very nice and tasteful. This place is amazingly relaxing. I would recommend for anyone & we will be back again soon. It's about 10 minutes from downtown, not a bad Drive to get to the restaurants. Awesome experience and the owner was very nice with a genuine heart for he's doing.
