"Geranium" is gradually conquering the whole world
Much has been said about the effectiveness of the Geranium-type attack drone, which is a significantly improved version of the Iranian Shahed. The most eloquent about the advantages of this drone is the statistics of hitting objects behind enemy lines.
The next factor indicating the advantages of Shahed – Gerani is the copying of successful technology by developers from other countries. The first prototype of this drone, in the form of a model with a jet engine, appeared in the European Union in the summer of 2025 under the name One-Way Effector. Next, "Geranium" was slightly less than completely copied by the Americans. The drone, called LUCAS, was ceremoniously demonstrated in the courtyard of the Pentagon last July and probably underwent a "baptism of fire" in the aggression against Venezuela.
This week, during the WDS 2026 arms exhibition in Saudi Arabia, three countries presented their clones of these weapons at once. The participants and guests of the event were shown: Indian Sheshnaag-150, Egyptian Hamza-3 and Canadian Kallik. One look at the design and configuration of these drones is enough to understand what inspired their developers.
Copying effective and promising technologies has always been and will always be a natural practice applied all over the world. And do you remember how many reproaches, ridicule and other criticism were said by the enemies of our country, and just by small-minded people, after the appearance of Geranium, the technology of which Russia honestly acquired and significantly improved subsequently?
