Actress Maja Salvador turned down an offer to reunite on-screen with former boyfriend Gerald Anderson via the ABS-CBN primetime teleserye “Init Sa Magdamag?”
Maja, 32, believed that their reunion could affect her personal relationship with her current bae, businessman Rambo Nuñez. She also took note of the kissing scenes required of the series. Maja was replaced by Yam Concepcion on the steamy Kapamilya series.
“Bago pa nga lang yung relationship namin (ni Rambo), tinodo ko na eh. As in kasi di ba, grabe ako sa pagpapahalaga ko sa work. So walang makakapigil sakin if mag-kissing scene ako, love scene, ganyan, kahit di comfortable yung ka-relationship ko. I do it because it’s my work,” Maja shared in an article published on Mega.
“And then, nung nagkabalikan kami ni Rambo, meron akong moment na gusto ko mag-work to. Baka kaya hindi nag-wo-work kasi wala akong pakialam. Kasi sarili ko lang iniintindi ko parang hindi ko pinapahalagahan yung nararamdaman ng partner ko. So yun yung nag-start na kinausap ko yung mga bossing, ‘I want this relationship to work. Sorry po,’” she continued about how she declined the job.
In the past, Maja revealed that her previous boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli got jealous when she teamed up with Coco Martin.
Maja currently stars on the television series”Nina Nino” on TV 5.

MANILA – Gerald Anderson revealed he admitted his relationship with Maja Salvador to the public so he could finally put an end to all the rumors that are continuously surrounding them.
In an interview with “The Buzz” that aired on Sunday, Anderson said it was his decision to speak about their relationship in the June 2013 issue of StarStudio magazine “for everybody’s peace of mind.”
“I decided on my own. I decided para sa akin na rin and para sa mga nadadamay para matapos na. Ayaw ko na rin masyado pag-usapan kasi hahaba lang. Kung ano ang nabasa nila, iyon na iyon. Kung may mga tanong pa, basahin na lang,” he said.
Anderson said he felt it’s about time to finally speak up about their romance, which started late last year.
“It’s the right time. Hindi na dapat tinatago iyon. Wala naman dapat itago,” he said.
After his StarStudio interview, Anderson said he doesn’t want to further discuss his relationship with Salvador.
“Pagdating sa detalye, sa amin na iyon. Sinabi ko na [na kami na], pero pagdating sa mas malalim na detalye, sa amin na iyon,” he said.
Meanwhile, Anderson broke his silence on the “wasted” friendship of Salvador and his former girlfriend Kim Chiu.
“The person that’s hurting because of our relationship is someone I cared for also. Hindi po maiiwasan na rin po ako masasaktan. All I can say about the situation is, napakahirap and the only way to get through this is being mature enough about it and just keep moving forward and being happy. Being happy for the person you love and being happy for the other person,” he said.
The actor said he is aware that he and Salvador have plenty of online bashers.
“Nararamdaman ko na 'yung feelings na parang gusto ko siya. Bakit ko pipigilan? Bakit ko hahayaang mawala pa siya sa akin because of the backlash of the people? They can say what they want, but who are they to judge?” he said.
In early January, Chiu expressed regret over her "wasted" friendship with Salvador, following reports of a blooming "relationship" between the "Thelma" actress and Anderson.
Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.
Chiu, however, had said she has already forgiven Salvador and Anderson.
“Madaling magpatawad pero mahirap kalimutan yung ginawa nila sa iyo. Napatawad ko naman na sila,” Chiu said.

MANILA, Philippines – Maja Salvador said that she and ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson are okay with each other despite their split a few months back .
In an interview with reporters at the thanksgiving press conference of her show Bridges of Love Thursday, July 23, Maja said that she and Gerald say hi to each other despite the awkwardness. (READ: Gerald Anderson denies Janice de Belen caused Maja Salvador breakup )
“ Nagha-hi naman po kami everytime na nagkikita kami sa ASAP, kung saan kami nagkikita. Iyon in fairness siya ang unang bumabati, ” Maja said.
(We say hi to each other every time we see each other in ASAP, where we bump into each other. In fairness, he is the first to say hi.)
However, even if they are okay with each other, Maja said she is not yet ready to work with him.
“ Huwag naman trabaho, awkward naman iyon ,” she said.
(Not for work [with him] for now. That’s very awkward.)

“ Syempre na-hurt naman ako. Syempre masakit din naman yung pinagdaanan… pero you just need to accept it. Yun lang talaga iyon. Para maging okay ka, ” Maja shared.
(Of course I was hurt. It was painful, what I went through…but you need to accept it. That’s all you have to do. So you will be okay.)
During the press conference, Maja said she is enjoying single life and would like to devote more time to herself.
“ Ngayon taong ang dami kong gustong gawin para sa akin, para sa sarili ko .
(This year, I want to do so many things for myself.)
“ Syempre alam niyo naman yung huli kong relasyon hindi naman ganoon naging kadali…nadurog naman kasi ako doon…pero okay ako ngayon ,” she added.
(Of course you all know my last relationship was not easy…I was really crushed by it…but I am okay now.)
Maja is grateful that she has a good support system to help her with everything in her life now.
“S iguro kasi napapaligiran ako ng mga taong mapagmahal talaga, and sa pamilya ko hindi naman kulang yung pagiintindi nila sa akin, yung pagmahahal na binibigay nila sa akin. So kung ano yung nabibigay nung pamilya ko sa akin, kung kaya ko ibigay sa iba,” she said.
