Those who know Geneva Roberts will be saddened by her passing. Geneva was born on February 22, 1924 in Rush County, Indiana. She graduated from Milroy High School and went on to work in Rushville at Production Credit. She was also a member of numerous church activities. She also had an interest in cooking and quilting. She was also an avid gardener. She enjoyed reading and traveling. She also loved baking chocolate pies and cornbread dressing. She was a great cook. 

Geneva was a member of the Ladies Aide Society and was involved in the Girls Auxiliary. She also volunteered at the Geneva Community Lunch Program. She also served as a volunteer firefighter with the North Side Fire Company. She also enjoyed hot yoga. She also liked to cook, bake, and quilt. Her passion for helping others led her to hospice caregiving. She left behind 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Geneva and her husband Burl had five children. They moved to California during World War II. The couple were married in Longbeach, California. Geneva was a former funeral assistant and embalming apprentice. She later moved to Santa Cruz County, where she worked as a funeral director. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in funeral service from the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also licensed to be a crematory manager. Geneva Wade Pelham was born in Missouri. She was raised in Missouri. Her parents, Charles and Virginia Graves, preceded her in death. Her husband Burl Pelham also preceded her in death. Her great grandson Seth is also predeceased. Her siblings include Hervil, Louise, and Elois. She was also preceded in death by her son Dale.

Geneva Dawson was born in Campbell, CA. She completed an Associate's Degree in History and a Bachelor's Degree in Funeral Service from the University of Central Oklahoma. She later earned a Crematory Manager license. She also worked as a funeral arranger, embalming apprentice, and funeral director. She also served as a sexton at Kerlin Cemetery. She was a member of the Ladies Aide and Girls Auxiliary and was a leader in Royal Ambassadors. She was also a member of the United Church of Christ. She also attended the Frontier General Baptist Church. She and her husband Burl returned to the west coast after retiring. They enjoyed many years living in Tacoma.

Geneva was a leader in Youth for Christ. She and her husband Raymond volunteered many hours at the church facility. They also assisted in the building of the current church. They had many friends and family members that were impacted by Geneva's work. Her life was touched by many people, including her granddaughter, Samantha Foe. She is survived by her daughter Samantha Foe and husband Zachary Foe of Geneva, and granddaughter Cecilia Foe and husband Austin Foe of Geneva.

Geneva was preceded in death by her husband James. She also was predeceased by her parents, her son Dale, her siblings Hervil, Louise, and Elois, and one brother-in-law. Her great grandson Seth is also impacted by her life. Her family is mourning her passing. She will be interred at New Tacoma Cemetery in University Place.
