Pretty much, models ripped from osrs, most of the pixelation is done in the compositor in blender

May I recommend the Romhack "Firered rocket edition"

Has a few Gen 2 faves in it, but otherwise goes into a story about the Hoenn invasion of Kanto.

Lorewise, you'd likely love it.

Go played PolishedCrystal and never look back. It’s the most perfect Gen 2 game of all time.

gen 2 supremacy is the only way. we even have the best remakes imo.

side note - I've been soft resetting for a shiny suicune in crystal on-and-off since the game dropped on 3DS VC (january 2018) and have not gotten it yet.... please pray for me, I need this to end

Also, a fun fact about gen 2 sprites: they can only contain 3 colors. If you look at starmie, for example, the jewel in the center is purple because red would've been the fourth color. Only black, yellow, and purple are used.
