Some of the greatest sand and water you will experience in Miami! The sand is soft, there are no rocks and there is actually little seaweed. We were able to get the same exact spot on the beach 4 days in a row! The beach was not too crowded and we went on a weekend and a holiday weekend. So that has to say something. There is a food truck that comes to sell food and beverages. They have people on the beach that rent umbrellas and chairs if you need them. The police and lifeguards patrol regularly which keeps the beach safe. Great job guys! Haulover is definitely a beach to check out its beautiful. Has the best sand and water. Perfect for a relaxing day at the beach.
We were here on a Sunday morning to watch the boats go in and out of Haulover Inlet. We arrived just as the park opened, and had many parking spaces from which to choose. You do have to pay for parking, but there's an app you can download...super easy! We paid for 2 hours (around $7), but the app stated it was the same price as 9 hours, so our parking was paid for until the park closed! Score! There is a great vantage point right at the top of the hill before you get to the actual beach. There are picnic tables, so you can sit there and just take in the view. We even saw a manatee swimming in the inlet...how cool!!!! The only thing I didn't enjoy was the huge group of people who decided to sit at the other 2 picnic tables. Normally, I wouldn't care because it's a county park, and all are welcome, but this group started drinking beers prior to noon, and were starting to get rowdy. This included climbing all over the rocks, and throwing smaller rocks into the inlet. Again, live your life, but also, be consider of others. We were able to move over to the bay side of the park (next to the firehouse), and found another comfy place to sit. The view was also spectacular, and it was cool to watch all the boats. I'd definitely visit this park again!
Great beach ☀️. I love how much thought the early developers put into the parking situation. For folks who haven't visited, there is an underground tunnel that links the 800+ capacity parking lot to the park/picnic grounds, which is just steps away from the beach. I should mention that handy capable parking is located at the beach grounds(across the street from general parking), so folks with disabilities don't have to schlep through the tunnel and up the stairs. The park is always well maintained and the folks that visit here are always friendly. With alert lifeguards, clean restrooms, well-kept grounds, and enough trash cans to accommodate all beach-goers, Haulover Park proves time and again that it is one of South Florida's best places to visit. A true gem of the community.
This is a very large Park in North Miami across from the marina. There's a lot to do in the sun and the sand including a bike and skatepark as well as enjoying the water at the beach. There are plenty of lifeguard towers so you can feel pretty protected. You can rent a lounger and an umbrella if you like and the fees are reasonable. Handicap parking is on the same side as the park and public parking is across the street and you can walk under the road through a tunnel to get to the park. A great way to spend a day
One of the greatest places in all of Florida to launch your boat, or rent one... the marine center might just be the best in the world. There's a great store, Latin cafe, kite flying,, a beach across the street with a skate park.. so much for everyone to do. My favorite is the fact the sand bar is there, and that's definitely classified as a happy place.
