A WOMAN lured a friend to an abandoned home in Sydney where she was raped repeatedly by the woman's teenage son and his friends, it has been alleged.
The alleged attack on the 41-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was revealed yesterday after police announced they had made five arrests over the attack.
The victim's friend, a 35-year-old mother of three, who also cannot be named, is alleged to have bumped into the victim at a club on May 12.
Police will allege the 35-year-old then drove the victim to an empty house in the same street in which she lived. Inside, the 35-year-old's 17-year-old son and three of his friends, ages 17, 16 and 14, are then alleged to have raped the woman.
An ambulance was called to the abandoned home at 6.30pm that day and the woman was taken to Nepean Hospital for treatment.
''This is truly traumatic,'' Mount Druitt Superintendent Wayne Cox said. ''This woman has obviously been through a lot and we are trying to support her through the rest of this matter.''
After a long investigation, police charged the 14-year-old with aggravated sexual assault last week and on Tuesday made four other arrests.
The three other males have been charged with sexual assault in company and deprivation of liberty.
The 35-year-old woman has been charged with hindering a police investigation. She made a bail application in Mt Druitt Local Court yesterday where police prosecutors alleged phone intercepts proved the woman made a false statement over the alleged assault. It is understood the woman told detectives when interviewed that her friend was not in the car with her and had, in fact, broken into the home she was allegedly sexually assaulted in.
The woman's lawyer said she was a single mother of three on a disability pension who needed constant medical attention and needed to care for her 19-year-old daughter.
Magistrate Fiona Toose, however, rejected her bail application and agreed with the police that the case against her was strong.
The woman will return to court in two weeks. The four teenagers return to court next month.
