Tucked away between the large and impersonal hotels we had a real little gem between our toes. The rooms are little chateau type buildings and are clean with tv inc English channels. Shower was nice with good running water. We also had a fridge. We stayed for 3 nights and spent all day tanning on the beach and drinking beer and cocktails from the little bar there. The hotel is about 8min drive into Puerto Morelos where there are souvenir shops and plenty of restaurants to choose from. The hotel does not offer evening meals we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. The team have created a sense of tranquility in an area that has been sadly been overtaken by huge resorts. The bikes were great to get around and the area felt safe cycling at night in the dark alone. Cute rustic cabanas. Very friendly and helpful staff. Snorkelling trips right from the beach. A lovely rustic cabana on the beach Good AC, great location. Snack bar only open from 9am to 5pm, no close by restaurants or shops open after 6pm, so eating dinner can be a bit tricky. Beach front, can rent bicycles to go to Puerto Morelos 15min , quiet, staff friendly. The big hotels around. They ruined the beauty of that nature! The rustic style of that place. The welcome of the owners and employees. The only complaint I can think of was that we had a little trouble getting the key to work in the room door lock, but just needs a little maintenance I think, no biggie at all. Nice breakfast made to order. The location was perfect, nestled between 2 hotel properties. I love that they had their own beach. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. I cannot stress this enough. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews. I have to stress that the sargassum is a big problem here and everywhere. The very basic amenities bar closed at 5 pm. The owner is very nice and her English is limited but had no answer for the lack of restaurants except that they could deliver food if I wanted to order it. It was on the beach but the beach is not nice right now. The bed was comfortable and the host was very nice. Great beach views. Buildings a bit dilapidated. Very basic facilities, but after staying in an all-inclusive resort the prior few days, this was a nice change and seemed to have a lot more character than those resorts. A taxi ride is pesos each way. I always walked in to town along the beach and sometimes walked home at night along the road. Sometimes I took a taxi back. Once I walked the road alone at night. I felt safe but who really knows? I am a 68 year old female, by the way. None of this bothered me. The restaurant closes at 4 -5 so most will want to go to town for dinner. The surrounding places are all inclusives so there is no other option for meals. There is a nearby convenience store that is ok for beer, water, and packaged junk food. Since there is a fridge I wished there was a plate, knife, fork, cup etc. Next time I will pack my own because if I return to Puerto Morales I will definitely stay there again. However the people were great. The cabana - mine was 4 and facilities vary so read the information for each cabana carefully - had great aircon and pretty good wifi. The wifi worked great in the eating area. The cabana also had a fridge and hairdryer which was not expected. It was cleaned very well every second day. Cleaning included new sheets, towels, 2 small bottles of water, packets of shampoo and soap. I read a complaint about the beds. I found mine very comfortable. The cabana had a clean bathroom with hot water. All around were all inclusives, so the beach was well groomed. This matters as seaweed gathers on the beach a lot in Puerto Morales. It was lovely being so close to the beach and ocean. Swimming was great. I would definitely stay there again. I also spent a week in a place in the town.
