TheWrap takes a mostly-clothed, SFW look at some of the steamiest moments from the HBO series across the last seven seasons
There have been plenty of times when characters got down and dirty during the last six seasons of "Game of Thrones," although it hasn't always been pleasant. Here's your fully safe for work look at some of the most memorable sex scenes in the show, including at least one that involved leeches. (Note: Spoilers ahead!)
This scene set the tone for much of the show when the twins were caught committing incest by Bran Stark. From its setting in abandoned broken tower to its ending with attempted murder, the whole thing is pretty gross.
We got introduced to the Imp in memorable fashion during this brothel scene. The lovable sex worker Ros was also a part of the moment, before she went on to bigger and better things in King's Landing.
A key turning point in Daenerys taking control of her situation is when she takes control in bed with Khal Drogo. This scene also marks a turning point in their relationship, from arranged marriage to actual love affair.
Long before he became Reek, Theon snuck the ever-present sex worker Ros into Winterfell for this steamy encounter. The stories that Theon was a pretty great lover were part of what led Ramsay to take his "favorite toy" away from him.
The secret lovers faced some turmoil when they argued over Renly's marriage to Loras' sister, Margaery. But it's clear they care for each other, which makes everything that follows so much harder for Loras to bear.
Stannis & Melisandre: Season 2, Ep. 2
The blood magic the Red Woman, Melisandre, utilizes often has some gross but sexy requirements. The tryst between her and Stannis is necessary to create a ghostly shadow that murders his brother Renly, adding a whole extra level of creepy.
Robb Stark's downfall began when he broke his engagement to the daughter of Walder Frey in favor of Volantis-born nurse, Talisa. The pair's love isn't enough to save them from betrayal at the Red Wedding, unfortunately.
Podrick and various sex workers: Season 3, Ep. 3
Podrick proved to be quite the ladies' man when several sex workers refused to take his money -- apparently because he was so good in bed. Bronn and Tyrion demanded details but whatever tips Pod had, they were revealed offscreen.
The tender moment in the cave, in which Jon Snow breaks his vows to the Night's Watch, shows real feelings between Jon and Ygritte, despite him being a Crow and her being a Wildling. This is the one moment of happiness the two share before their different worlds tear them apart, with tragic consequences.
Theon, Myranda & Violet: Season 3, Ep. 7
In this torturous scene, Myranda, Ramsay Bolton's girlfriend, and a second woman, Violet, come to Theon in the torture chamber. He has just enough time to feel like a person again, and for the scene to get hot, before the horrible truth is revealed about Ramsay's plans for Theon.
Melisandre & Gendry (and leeches): Season 3, Ep. 8
More sexy blood magic times with Melisandre, this time with her seducing the bastard son of Robert Baratheon, Gendry. After the act, she puts leeches on him -- the King's Blood they suck out of Gendry allows Melisandre to see the future. Creepy though that may be, it wasn't a wholly bad deal for Gendry.
Oberyn and Ellaria not only had each other but several other women and men at the same time at Littlefinger's brothel. The Dornish have fewer hangups than the rest of Westeros, that's for sure.
Daenerys took her first lover since Drogo when she slept with sexy sellsword Daario Naharis. The pair had something of a relationship from then on, but Daenerys broke it off when she sailed for Westeros -- and was surprised that doing so didn't really bother her.
Ramsay was creepy enough on his own. But then you add in Myranda, his girlfriend and the daughter of his kennelmaster. Myranda's just as sick as Ramsay when it comes to sadism, and their sexy moment oscillates between pleasure and pain pretty easily.
Missandei & Grey Worm: Season 7, Ep. 2
The tension between Daenerys' former slaves turned trusted advisers has been ramping up for what seems like forever. Finally, Missandei and Grey Worm had their moment together. The Unsullied are famously eunuchs, but Grey Worm and Missandei found ways to be intimate that got around his limitation.
Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen, Season 7, Ep. 7
After teasing romance between Jon and Dany all through the season, it finally happened on the boat from Dragonstone to White Harbor. It wasn't the most ridiculous sex scene of the show, but it was one fans have been waiting for throughout Season 7 -- and for fans who predicted this might happen long ago, years .

HBO’s highly-hyped “Game of Thrones” prequel “House of the Dragon” has emerged as a certified blockbuster hit — but the epic fantasy series must do battle in Season 2 without co-showrunner, director and executive producer Miguel Sapochnik.
Sapochnik is stepping away from the series, but entering into a first-look deal with HBO to develop new projects and will remain listed as an executive producer for the remainder of the series, Puck News’ Matt Belloni reports . Fellow showrunner and EP Ryan Condal will assume the top creative role and continue consulting with co-creator and author George R.R. Martin. “Game of Thrones” veteran director Alan Taylor will be brought on as a director and EP for multiple Season 2 episodes, per industry reports.
“Working within the ‘Thrones’ universe for the past few years has been an honor and a privilege, especially spending the last two with the amazing cast and crew of ‘House of the Dragon,’” Sapochnik said in a statement. “I am so proud of what we accomplished with season 1 and overjoyed by the enthusiastic reaction of our viewers. It was incredibly tough to decide to move on, but I know that it is the right choice for me, personally and professionally. As I do so, though, I am deeply comforted to know that Alan will be joining the series. He’s someone I’ve known and respected for a long time, and I believe this precious series could not be in safer hands. I am so glad to remain a part of the HBO and ‘House of the Dragon’ family and, of course, I wish Ryan and his team success and all the best with season 2 and beyond.”

Rivalries are heating up on and off the court at Bringston University in a new teaser from Season 2 of “All American: Homecoming,” which TheWrap can exclusively reveal.
The clip shows tensions are clearly rising between tennis stars Simone (Geffri Hightower) and Thea (Camille Hyde). Also making an appearance in the sneak peek are Spencer (Daniel Ezra) and Jordan (Michael Evans Behling), from sister show “All American,” as they make a surprise trip to the Atlanta-based HBCU.
According to the minute-long promo, Thea and Simone aren’t the only ones dealing with drama; Jordan, fresh off his breakup with Simone, has some beef with baseball MVP Damon (Peyton Alex Smith), who had a notable will-they-won’t-they history with Simone in Season 1 and is currently dating Thea. In the clip, Jordan can be seen punching Damon in the Bringston locker rooms.
The teaser trailer also promises plenty of drama in the academic and sports worlds, as Simone tries to solidify her standing on the tennis team and get on the right foot with her demanding coach. For his part, Damon must make a decision between remaining on the fledgling Bringston team and transferring elsewhere, likely under the tutelage of dubious Coach Shaw (John Marshall Jones), who was previously ousted from the university for a cheating scandal involving the team.
According to showrunner and executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carroll, Season 2 of the “All American” spinoff will pick up roughly six weeks after the events of Season 1, allowing the show’s timeline to sync up with the original series, which creates room for crossovers as the crew vacations in Atlanta and Los Angeles over winter break.
“The excitement feels so brand new as if we’re starting each show from the beginning,” Caroll recently told TheWrap. “It’s going to be unexpected on both shows, the journeys that these characters end up on and the way they get there.”
Season 2 of “All American: Homecoming” premieres Oct. 10 on The CW, with free next-day streaming on the network’s app.
The new clip follows the Mighty Ducks at a summer hockey intensive
The Mighty Ducks are stepping back onto the ice — this time under the watchful eye of Josh Duhamel’s Colin Cole, a former NHL player and intensive summer camp coach.
“The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” Season 2 trailer sees the ragtag bunch, led by coach Alex Morrow (Lauren Graham), head to a California-based summer hockey camp.
The Disney Branded Television series, produced by ABC Signature, picks up after the Mighty Ducks team name was restored in Season 1. Led by their ever-encouraging coach Alex, the team takes to the road to attend a boot-camp-like institute run by the charismatic yet hardcore Colin.
But just as the new environment offers a place for the kids to excel at hockey without school to get in the way, the Ducks must triumph amid super-competitive stakes. In the meantime, Alex and Colin engage in a semi-good-humored rivalry as their teams face off during training.
“The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” features returning cast members Brady Noon, Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Taegen Burns and DJ Watts. Naveen Paddock joins the cast as a series regular. Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa serve as showrunners and executive producers. Additional executive producers include Graham, George Heller, Brad Petrigala, Jordan Kerner, Jon Avnet and Steve Brill.
Season 2 will premiere Sept. 28 with new episodes dropping weekly on Disney+.
”Catch Me If You Can“ and ”Mean Girls“ will exit the streaming service

As summer must eventually come to an end, so must these titles’ time on Netflix.
With Halloween right around the corner, the streaming service will remove all eight seasons of “The Vampire Diaries,” as well as several thriller and horror films including “Nightcrawler,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” “Seven” and “Insidious” so be sure to watch these spooky season classics before the end of the month.
The streaming service will no longer be the home for cherished TV series, including “Quantico,” “Saved by the Bell,” “Gotham” and “Dark Matter.” Netflix will also scrap classic titles, like “Catch Me If You Can,” “Mean Girls,” “Taxi Driver,” “Dirty Harry” and “Dumb and Dumber.”

”I think a good TV show is one that lasts 1000 episodes,“ Harmon told TheWrap
“Rick and Morty” fans were happy to learn in 2018 that the beloved animated series had been renewed for an additional 70 episodes, but now as creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon are about halfway through that mammoth order, how are they feeling about the longevity of the series? Optimistic would be an understatement.
“I think the show could run forever,” Roiland told TheWrap during a recent interview about the upcoming sixth season. “The show could run as long as we want it to.”
Harmon concurred in a separate interview, saying theoretically “Rick and Morty” could continue on for 1000 episodes — his ideal number for a good TV show.
“As far as the longevity of the show, to me, it just feels infinite. That’s kind of the easy part. And I think that might be the cause of some frustration on the fans’ part, because my original commitment to just, I think a good TV show is one that lasts 1000 episodes. You don’t design a paper airplane to land at a certain spot a certain distance for you. A good paper airplane is the one that stays in the air forever, and that’s impossible but you fold it in a way that that’s the goal.”
Harmon added that “Rick and Morty” was never conceived as a show with a definite endpoint, which adds to the longevity.
“That’s the nice thing about ‘Rick and Morty’ is I feel like from Episode 1 forward, there’s always been a commitment in the DNA of the show to not engage in so much soap opera-ness that there’s an inevitable conclusion coming – you know, Mulder is gonna find his sister and he won’t have a reason to do ‘X-Files’ anymore (laughs). We don’t really have that. We’ve certainly got elements that can only happen once as far as revelations about Rick and stuff like that, but I do believe that the adventures can go on for theoretically 1000 episodes.”
Not only that, but “Rick and Morty” is also now on a schedule to release a season a year, Harmon revealed.
“This is the strangest thing I’ve ever said about the show and it still feels unreal to say it, but we’ll be doing a season a year now,” Harmon said. “I still don’t understand how that’s possible. But that’s why it never happened on my watch. [Showrunner] Scott [Marder] is able to keep us on a schedule that mostly involves being so ahead of schedule that we can actually release things in a timely manner.”
Roiland compared the longevity of the series to that of “The Simpsons,” noting the shows differ in key ways.
“We’re also not trying to do what ‘The Simpsons’ is doing and we’re doing less episodes than ‘The Simpsons’,” Roiland said. “I think we could easily run this thing into Season 20 if we wanted, if the network wanted and if the fans wanted.”
In short, there’s no lack of “Rick and Morty” ideas, and for now all involved are still having a blast making the show.
“Our foundation is so broad,” Roiland added. “We’ve got the multiverse, we’ve got any sci-fi concept we want. There’s too many ideas, so it wouldn’t be for lack of content in a show like this.”

Viewers can now subscribe to the streaming service and premium cable network library in the same package

The Paramount+ with Showtime bundle is available to U.S. subscribers at a special, limited time price of $7.99 per month for the ad-supported Essential Plan and $12.99 per month for the ad-free Premium Plan.
“The Paramount+ with Showtime bundle offers consumers unprecedented value by providing one of the broadest content libraries in streaming at one of the lowest prices in the marketplace,” said Tom Ryan, president and chief executive officer of Paramount Global Streaming. “This singular user experience streamlines sign-up and enhances discovery, and this lower price will allow more households to enjoy this exceptional combined entertainment offering.”
The new bundle is available as an in-app upgrade and provides full access to the Paramount+ and Showtime libraries. The discounted introductory pricing is available through October 2, when it will become available for $11.99 per month for the Essential tier or $14.99 per month for the Premium tier.
The ad-supported Essential Plan combines sports, including NFL games and more than 2,000 soccer matches each year, with on-demand entertainment options spanning the full suite of current and upcoming shows and movies, as well as breaking news through CBS News Network.
The Premium Plan features commercial-free, on-demand entertainment with 4K, HDR and Dolby Vision and mobile downloads; an extended roster of must-watch sports; and live streams of local affiliates in over 200 markets across the U.S.
The Showtime service with its roster of original content, live sports and theatrical films, will be commercial-free for both Paramount+ plans. Showtime will also continue to be available separately for $10.99 per month as a standalone service and through other third-party distributors.
Paramount+ added 4.9 million subscribers in its second fiscal-quarter of 2022, growing to 43 million total paid subscribers worldwide.
One streaming series to rule them all
“The Lord of the Rings” is back. Only this time, it’s in streaming show form.
While most of what has been written about “The Lord of the Rings: The R ings of Power” has been related to how much it cost, with a whopping $465 million production budget for the first season alone (meaning each episode cost nearly $60 million), there is still much to discuss about the highly anticipated new series. You know, like when you can watch it and who is in it. That kind of thing. Below we are attempting to answer all of your questions before “The Rings of Power” come out and you become a troll-obsessed freak once again.
“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” will debut on Amazon’s Prime Video direct-to-consumer streaming service this Friday, February 2, at midnight. (The official press release says that it is “time zone dependent.”) All of this means that if you want to revisit Middle-earth, you might have to stay up pretty late.
Two days before the first two episodes premiere, you can watch them in a movie theater! But there are some very big caveats! The event, taking place on August 31, will only happen at Cinemark theaters. And you can’t buy a ticket to the event. Technically it’s a free event for Cinemark Movie Rewards members .
