I have a HP Pavilion 17 notebook PC that was bought in Canada and I can not figure out how to type an apostrophe. I know this should be simple but this keyboard make me feel stupid. Can you help please.

I'd like to help you find the apostrophe key, its sound like a "Where's Waldo" kind of game
I'd like to say, if you have a standard North American keyboard, the apostrophe should be next tot he Enter key, but I Google'd keyboards and I can not stand behind that statement. Can you post a picture of your keyboard and I will help you identify it. It may be helpful if you could post the model number of your computer as well.

I think one of the things you want to do is "add an input method" for your keyboard.
Described in section "Changing the keyboard language"
You can also control the Display language as shown in the guide.
It is a nice way to say “Thank You” for the help.

every picture I try to attach says it is too large to attach is there a different way to do it
If you are trying to attach a screen shot, that is a Snip and it is too large,
you can use the method available in this editor (the one used on this forum).
Click Browse and find the file on your computer
Before you finish, select an Image Size from the little menu -- if your Snip is huge, select Medium
If you don't like the results, click on the Undo arrow

it still says it is too large the file is 15456k and it says 10000k is maximum
I am trying to attach a photo of my key board
I have had no success attaching a picture to my posts however I do have the exact model it is a HP Pavilion 17-e033ca Notebook pc does that help in identifing the keyboard? I can not believe what a pain this is just to use an apostrophe.

You are over thinking it the attachment bit. Smiling. Photo files are sometimes quite large due to the density of the data.
Open a layout of your keyboard - the On-Screen keyboard on your computer could work for this if it contains the special characters noted in your description.
Use the Snipping Tool program on your computer to make screen shots.
I assume from your continuing difficulties that you cannot use the first solution, that is, add an appropriate keyboard. Once a keyboard is selected, you could buy a "cover sheet" to match the layout online or at your local office store.
You can also just pull an apostrophe from your font library.
Using Windows 8.1 (and probably works in other recent OS - Windows
Control Panel > icon view > Fonts > Find a character >
at top, next to Font, select Arial (or other font of your choice) >
CHECK Advanced View > in Character Set , select " DOS: United States "
If using Font DOS:United States , then look top row, column seven>
Click on the "apostrophe" sign > Click " Select " > Click " Copy " >
Open Word, Notebook, whatever >> Right Click and "Paste"

The most popular comment from Edmonton Oilers fans these days surrounds the sameness of the lineup that will return for 2022-23. The logic goes that if the club couldn’t win a game against the Colorado Avalanche with this lineup, why bring it back?
Leaving aside the completely overhauled goaltending depth chart, the returning unrestricted free agents ( Evander Kane and Brett Kulak ) and a full season with dynamic head coach Jay Woodcroft, how can we answer this question?
Using the team’s own past, and estimating improvements based on trades, signings and new arrivals from the draft and farm team, it’s possible to get a good picture of reasonable expectations for the coming season.
For example, last August, I wrote , “If the Oilers play all 82 games scheduled in 2021-22, the club could score as many as 285 goals. That would be the highest total since 1991-92, a hockey lifetime ago. The bad news: The defence will be more chaotic and the goaltending remains the same. If things break wrong, (the) Oilers could threaten 250 or more.”
During the 2021-22 season, Edmonton scored 285 goals and allowed 251.
The 2020-21 season was an extreme outlier, the Oilers playing in the NHL ’s makeshift North Division. The team’s 2019-20 season, while shortened by the COVID outbreak, saw the team ranked No. 27 in overall shots per 60 among the then-31 teams. The first season back in the Pacific Division showed a high-octane offence in Edmonton:
The 2021-22 Oilers, averaging 33.63 shots per 60 in all disciplines, ranked No. 10 in the NHL. That’s a strong number, considering the 2019-20 team was No. 27 in the category. The shot totals were up across the league, so the gap in offensive quality is likely overstated just looking at the numbers.
