Ok. Totally a world traveler and not some jaded person with experience in only developed countries. This resort is interesting. First of all the place has no access road. This is because the road that exists was washed out and incredibly rough. So much so that getting a trike was nearly impossible. Second even with a motorbike at your disposal the road is too aggressive for anyone less than skilled at motorcross. So minus one for lack of access. No cell reception for Sun or Globe. Resort is vacant. I mean my girlfriend and I were the only ones there. Only a caretaker who was nice. Seems nice but it has its drawbacks which ill explain. Rooms are filthy. Not first world filthy, just filthy. Roaches in the room which i had the horror of finding (im terrified of roaches) on the 3rd night. Yes we stayed there almost 4 nights so you are getting a solid experienced review. No cook staff on hand so meals are triked in by the other hotel the owner has in Romblon. Decent food but inconvenient as all heck. Now what is the Phil without a beach?? If you are curious go here. There is no beach. Just a tidal swimming pool. It is empty until high tide which for us was late at night or while we were gone. Look for shells elsewhere. Did i mention the roaches? Yea cant shake that long night awake. Oh no hot water showers. After all this we were transferred to the Romblon Hotel which is owned by the same owner as Punta Corazon. They put us in a room on the 3rd floor. This looks ok from the outside but after the experience at Punta Corazon I was not in the mood for unsatisfactory. Walk into a room with the window blinds all bent like they were re-purposed from a junkyard. Bed was hanging on by a few threads on the bolts. It squealed like the many pigs on the island when i sat on it. Sure im a big boy but come on. Bathroom had a dirty floor. Little bleach and it could have been clean. Ohh and again no hot shower. That was extra. Might i also say that this new room was more expensive than the punta corazon room even though we were transferred because it was a horrible place.... Not cool. No bump in service. No free extra for our trouble and patronage. Seriously we had been there 4 days. Nope wasn't having it. So after an hour of being in this room angry as all heck, we grabbed our bags and left. Got to the first floor reception to check out and no one is home. Anywhere. Seriously. Yelling for help. No one. Finally after a few minutes a maid on the 3rd or 4th floor came down and then went off looking for reception. Crazy right. Owner eventually showed up and seemed both embarrassed how crap both her places were and indifferent to us. The only courtesy she showed was to not charge us for the hour we were in the new room we were moved to.... Left for the Marlin hotel. Ill leave a review there too. …

I did NOT stay here as the text exchange over room prices was already harrowing, confused and eventually annoying - aircon "rum" rate P1,200, while fan "rum" P700, etc reply in a very unhelpful manner. Whoever operates this place could not care less on marketing the resort with clear cut prices, photos and details to attract visitors. This hidden resort has barely any info on the web. It was possibly the one edged with gay flags on the western cove corner of Cajimos, little north of Romblon Town. Spotted it from the sailboats we were bringing in. According to sketchy info, this place is accessible by land at low tide, at least by light vehicle like a tricycle, forget heavy vehicles like SUVs unless you have a long rope to pull the heavy beast out of the soft sand. The only other access to the resort is by banca. A hassle if a customer needs to pop into town to get supplies on a whim, they will be trapped by the sea on one side and a forested hill on the other, fine if you are partially a mountain goat. Likewise a bummer for any customer out having drinks in town and can only crawl back in the wee hours, but need to step into a boat just to get home. Do they have a service boat which will wait up all night to bring said customer back to the resort? Perfect place if you want total peace and quiet, away from the idiotic selfie stick waving crowd. Or if you want to write your novel. Or if you are a celebrity hiding from the drone-less paparazzi. Great for concentrating on being able to swim like heck, because you can. …
